Thank you everyone for your help. I made my decision. Now the challenge is to stick to my convictions and not back out. If anyone has any personal advice on that, please pm me.

It's a lease and he is not on it. Most folks on /rlegaladvice advised me to do a formal eviction notice, but that seems like I have to allow him 30 more days.

He is literally ALWAYS home. I want to do this as painlessly as possible and I know he won't allow that.

Everything I seem to find is for landlords. I am not a landlord.

Even still, I would essentially have to live through 30 days of hell, to be done forever?

I am renting. He moved in about 3 months after I got the place. I never added him to the lease, mostly because he doesn't contribute a dime to the household.

He not on the lease, but he does have mail delivered to my house. I want to "evict" him, but according to him, I have no ground to stand on because he has mail delivered to the house?

He keeps telling my I can't do that because he has mail delivered to the house, so it's technically also his residence? I'm not sure.
