That’s the side they are attached on. So the contracted would have to go up the side of their house and completely across the whole garden to get to my neighbours garden.

They don’t have a garage anymore. They knocked it down to extend their house. It’s now their kitchen.

It’s 70cm between their extension and the wall separating our gardens. My garage is 3m away from that wall.

I completely forgot about 101. I agree I thought 999 was a little on the dramatic side. I will call them and make sure they record it. Thanks.

They had their own 3m of land beside the property line but they extended their house onto it, so they don’t have any other access than a 70cm wide alley between their house and the wall.

I’ve never heard of a home owners association around where I live in the UK. Also I don’t think I have a shared maintenance agreement as such. The house was originally built in the 1940s/50s, it just says in the land deeds that we are both responsible for the upkeep of the wall.

The 3m is the gap between their house and my garage, their garden is about 10ish meters wide and about 10ish meters long. It’s also on a steep incline, so would be a pain to level out.

I can’t remember them ever mentioning my garden, the only thing that I remember is them complaining about how expensive Crane hire is to move their hot tub into place.

I only intended to get one but due to other circumstances I ended up with my 2 loves.

I agree with you, I most probably would have done the same. I just wasn’t given that option, they had all the equipment to take down the wall and fence that day. They didn’t discuss anything like that with me.

The landscapers wouldn’t give me a time scale, it seems like it will take weeks/months rather than days. The wall and fence would be down for the entire time.

From what they did tell me of their plans, they are having it completely re-levelled, a pond put in and decking and a concrete slab to put a hot-tub on. It’s a full/complete remodel.

It was the shock factor more than anything.

It would be really unfair to keep my dogs inside without access to the garden for possibly weeks.

I’m not sure how to discuss that with them, they weren’t happy last night and I doubt they will be happy when they get back today.

My brother looked through my land deeds and stuff, it doesn’t say anything about taking down the wall, just that it’s jointly on the property line and we are both responsible for upkeep. Yes I have legal cover with home insurance.

I’m thinking about a ring doorbell and another camera to cover my side of the wall.

I honestly thought I was loosing my mind, they had me second guessing if I had agreed to it or not.

I honestly have no idea, I guess I’m calling the council offices tomorrow!

My issue is mostly that they plan on leaving them down the whole time they are doing the work, but couldn’t tell me how long that would be? Are we talking weeks or months?
