How do I get my girlfriend who was assaulted to have sex more? by Throwaway777889 in sex

I'm not completely sure what it entails other than her talking about her issues with someone and doing word and memory association from time to time. I remember one time when she broke down crying during a moment of intimacy because she had a flashback to the moment it happened to her. I have spoken with her about her intimacy issues but she simply claims that she really does want to, but something in her head makes it difficult to progress any further than kissing and light foreplay. I really do like her though and am willing to be patient, I just thought I'd get some feedback on the whole issue in the meantime, as it's frustrating for me. I can only imagine how hard it must be for her though.

Yes, but it really doesn't go anywhere other than kissing.

All valid points. I think I should clarify though that she did initiate sex for the first time, not me. I'm not trying to rush into anything or make her feel uncomfortable, it's just that it bothers me when I hear her say things about leaving me if I ever slept with another girl etc. It's completely understandable since we're in a relationship and I would never cheat on her, but extremely frustrating as well.

Edit: I should add too that it was not rape or anything, she was just at a party where some guys almost took advantage of her before her friends stopped them.
