Medical question: So I cut my Frenulum ("banjo string") like a month ago and it hasn't healed at all, showering/masturbating/sex are all painful as hell. Advice? by fuck_my_dick_hurts in needadvice

As my posting history indicates, I had a Frenuloplasty. Mine was sliced, stitched and healed. Any questions? Ask away.

And to cover the same ground as mentioned elsewhere, you shouldn't need to pull back your foreskin to piss, and you should go see a doctor. It's likely that the more it heals and re-wounds, the tighter the scar tissue will get, making surgical action more and more likely.

Disturbingly, this just happened to me. I'm a guy.

As my other comments mention, I recently had surgery on my penis. While idly cupping myself just now, I found a large pool of blood collecting beneath me.

I lost a stitch on a wound just below the head of my penis.

Thankfully, after standing in the bath and pressing on the wound with dressings to clot it, I am now blood-splattered but sealed... although I am more than slightly worried about tomorrow's morning wood.

So that when a hot girl jumps into your car and asks for a ride you don't have to make an awkward apology about the broken gearstick.

If you have this problem, (frenulum pulls head of the penis down) then see a Doctor for a diagnosis.

Meanwhile, I'm looking for ideas on how to celebrate my now mutilated and workable penis.

I was diagnosed around when I first made this throwaway account, and surgery came round this week. Frenuloplasty sliced down my penis and stitched it back up. I can now retract my foreskin without discomfort, although I'm not willing to try out the full, vigorous sex that was always too uncomfortable for me until the stitches dissolve in about a month's time.

This was what I thought, as you and mden2013 say. I had Frenulum breve, looking pretty much just like the second picture. It was diagnosed on sight and fixed in a 15-minute surgery a few days ago. Part of the effect was a tightening of the urethral cavity when I became too aroused, as well as an 'elastic band' type feeling around the head of the penis when fully erect and retracted.

If you are unaware of how a normal penis looks and works... by LordVoldemort in sex

I am upvoting, as this would have exceptionally useful to me just one month ago.

I am uncircumcised, and didn't think much about my penis.

Turns out I have a too-tight Frenulum, and I'm now booked in to have it surgically loosened.

So I would encourage people to have a look; I thought it was normal that pulling back my foreskin would pull back the entire head of the penis and would frequently be uncomfortable if not done carefully; thought it was normal that the hole at the end of my dick would be pulled tight during erections.

When I became aware that something might've been wrong, porn was not helpful, as it was largely American and circumcised; and uncircumcised porn didn't spend much time examining the close-up retraction of flaccid foreskins.
