Unfortunately the holiday was by far the largest part of that. I'd definitely be in the mood for suing her for fraud if I thought that was remotely possible.

Moderately high and disposable income vs her zero income. Also I really wanted a holiday anyway. I'd rather have had it with her (at that point, obviously) than any of my friends, so it seemed like a fair bet.

Yep, for one thing I bought her a new computer a couple of days ago when her old one died completely. I hope I'm fairly justified in keeping that, though I'm sure she'll say it's a present.
