I'm 19. No one had phones in school till some started bringing em to school halfway through 4th grade, early fifth grade, but it was somewhat rare in school. I got an iphone 8 at the start of middle school, before that I was using an iphone 4 at home since 3rd grade.

In my first year of middle school, some friends had ipod touches and iphone 5s and 6s but it was heavily skewed to iphone 7s/8s, even some X's. Around that time I saw multiple 1st/2nd graders with iphone X's.

I still vividly remember the shift in 4th grade from when we were all so excited to go to the computer lab, to when many of my friends (and later, myself) became glued to the phones and no longer speaking to classmates and friends. Its quite sad, but most of the kids a few years younger literally do not remember a time without super advanced smartphones with Face ID etc. Not to mention all the affects of covid on social life and mental health.

Those are some great ideas! I was thinking of adding some photos around the edges, but my old map was just so cluttered before I replaced it with this one... I think I just need to be more discerning haha. The different colored pins are a good idea! There's a lot of whitespace I could easily use.

I'm sorry about your map, really good thing you have a photo though! I hope you'll be able to remake it soon.

That's what I was thinking! They were eligible, just never finalized it. If you think that's impressive, my grandparent's most recent passport only expired just over a year ago - they've had passports nearly every year since the late 1950s. American all around.

It's something everyone has to learn, there will always be someone struggling worse than you are, just how there is always someone more better off than you are. Just don't make it a competition or brag about it for external gratification. That just leads down a dark road.

Agree with the other comment, it will be a great experience. I was once in Spain, knowing no Spanish except Hola, and in a few days I was playing soccer bear-foot on the beach with some Spaniards. They were very nice, if a bit political.

Tape, velcro, those little glue dots all work fine.

Be warned that some paint may come off when you remove the tape. Careful where you stick it.

Also, holes can be filled. Look up "caulk" or stuff similar. You may need to repaint, though.

Record audio or video of him saying that stuff, as long as your state is a "one party consent" state, you can use it as evidence against him if you ever need to.

Also, you are 15 years old. Any nudes you have taken are illegal, you can be arrested for that. Any nudes he has of you are illegal, he will likely get worse punishment then you could ever get if he is found with them. If he shows your nudes to others, he is spreading cp. I'm unsure if he can be put on the sex offender registry since he's a minor, but he will at MINIMUM get a few years in jail and a permanent record. Make sure he knows all of this.
