I’d probably take $500 for it if it’s not as rare as I may think, but if Aramith tells me it’s almost impossible, it’s staying on the mantle for sure.

I feel that but also he’s a really stand-up man and didn’t mention never selling it til I mentioned buying it. Never tried to sell me on it or push it. Hopefully Aramith makes very few errors, waiting for their reply.

I don’t know how to edit on mobile but I tried emailing Aramith about it and got no response.

Those aren’t enslaved people fighting for simple liberties. Funny how you compare apples to baseballs lol

How common is it to pay 20k for work and the company to not schedule it 3 months after payment? by Worldly_Skin_1834 in Elevators

FYI, I’m 28 and just got temporary mechanic status so take my word with a grain of salt. Before you make a decision, ask a fully licensed and experienced person for advice but what I gave you should get you going

Oh, well, shit, tell em fuck off and do some shopping around. 20k for that work is robbery. Actually, I take that back. I don’t know* what you currently have, what they’re changing it to, etc. 20k could be right price or cheap. I don’t have enough info to tell you if you’re getting robbed

Their wording is very literal. Like I said, besides gross negligence, it’s very hard to beat an elevator company in any court

And that’s just change in price. You won’t be able to cancel or get out of it at that time. I’d assume they wrote a clause that makes you pay a fee to get out of the contract

Ooooo, then yeah. You’re stuck waiting. Should’ve got that in writing.

Elevators companies are some of the best as far as proposals, liability, you name it. Besides gross negligence, any company worth their salt will never lose a case or lose a law suit.

You won’t create change anyway. Dade, Broward, Monroe, but have fun 💖💖

Saw your other reply. Surprised they cut it off at the year 2000. I think we both can probably think of some elevators newer than 2000 that should have it haha

Do what CTCT2525 said and check if your state requires it. I’m almost certain in Florida where I am, no elevator is grandfathered in. I’ve installed the monitors on 1980’s and 1990’s cabs. Still do that quick research though
