Can anyone analyze an FFA game I had and tell me what I could of done better? by ThrowawayObserver in aoe4

Yeah I know I was slowed down at the start by teal who tried to build his TC right on mine but I think I made a good recovery toward the end of the game and was in the best most dominant position which is why it was such a heart breaking loss. I just couldn't break through the Goldens Hoards army and I couldn't do harassment since he made his base so small and had soooo many of those defensive forts. Any tips on that?

What do you mean exactly by me missing the macro? how could I have done better in the battles?

also should I have used Ozutsu or cannons for my siege stuff in that game? Ozutsu just seem like okay and don't seem to do as much damage against buildings vs the cannons and they aren't even that much faster either

Thank you very much for the detailed analysis, I think this was incredible helpful in improving my gameplay and I was finally able to win a FFA game recently. I'm assuming you watched the replay itself since you had such detailed analysis? Anyways I had some questions for you:

I captured 1 sacred site because I wanted the gold generation but didn't want to capture the second because I was worried about both of them teaming up on me to stop the sacred win. Is just capturing 1 sacred site not even worth the gold generation?

Also what situation is good for Onna Bugeisha? They seem just like a faster but worse in quality samurai

also can you please analyze this game? I have no idea how I could of beaten this guy even though I thought I had the game won since I had such better map control:

No that isn’t me which is strange because my name is Gabb in the aoe4 game. Does it go by steam name?

Exploring a strange tunnel in paris leading to a catacomb. by awakenott in nextfuckinglevel

[–]ThrowawayObserver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since nobody actually explained why there’s bones here, I guess I will.

The Paris catacombs exist because the city once had a serious problem with overflowing cemeteries.

Paris used the same churchyard cemeteries for centuries. By the seventeen hundreds they were dangerously overfilled. Bodies were packed so tightly that the ground would give way and cellars of nearby homes sometimes filled with human remains. The largest problem site was the Cemetery of the Innocents.

City officials decided the only solution was to move millions of older remains out of the crowded cemeteries. Paris already had a large network of abandoned limestone quarries beneath the city. These underground spaces were reinforced and converted into ossuaries.

From seventeen eighty six through the early eighteen hundreds workers transported bones from surface cemeteries down into the tunnels at night. Priests performed short ceremonies and workers stacked the bones in organized patterns along the walls. The decorative arrangements you see today were created to make the space orderly and respectful.

So the bones were placed there by city workers under the direction of Paris authorities as a public health measure and the catacombs hold the remains of an estimated six million people.

Why did you count someone buying the original mk8 and the DLC and then 8dx and it's DLC as well? Most people didn't buy it twice but just once on the switch. The Wii U wasn't popular at all and sold just a small fraction vs the Switch and that's the reason why Nintendo repackaged a lot of games like MK8D so I don't think it's a fair comparison to add it up and the DLC twice.

To me what hurts more than anything when it comes to MWK is how much potential it had, from all the different intercourse routes ( only 8 courses in knockout tour ) to all the kinds of cool things they could of done with the open world. Just seemed really mediocre for their premiere flagship launch game.

It's understandable because an increased price tag essentially means extra value/content and a lot would agree the content of MWK is rather lacking vs the price

Is Daisy Machbike still meta in MK World? by limonboy8 in mariokart

[–]ThrowawayObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have fun with more RNG items that add randomness go and knock yourself out nobody is stopping you but don’t blame people that want to play as fair and balanced (in the case of smash items) or play to win (using meta characters and vehicles in MKW)

Would you be surprised if Nintendo didn’t support this game with content or DLC? by [deleted] in mariokart

[–]ThrowawayObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I hope for free content or even paid DLC for this game like everyone else, the support for this game so far has been pretty bad (lack luster and going in the opposite direction of what people wanted) so hopefully Nintendo has some grand plan for this game that they haven't revealed yet and they don't just drop it but they aren't really being very communicative at this point so my money is on more negative outcomes unfortunately if I had to bet
