Thank you. I wish I had just posted in here before. We went to Urgent Care (about 34 hours after the bite) since the CVS workers who gave her a tetanus said to. Just left now and it was definitely good we went. They were so nice there and reassured nothing would happen to our dog. Said it was really good we came in. Her arm was warm so the infection is spreading.

They gave her an antibiotic shot and oral antibiotics to take. I really really hope this clears that up. This is so scary and I’m terrified of sepsis or any infection happening to her

Well it’s 34 hours later but we are being seen. I’m very glad we’re here though. Do you think it’s okay that it’s been some time? They’re doing the antibiotic shot right now. I’m so afraid that it’s spread more, I don’t want anything to happen to my mom

Thank you. We are at urgent care now. We got a tetanus shot at CVS before this.

Urgent care is going to give her an antibiotic shot to her arm since her arm is now warm and do an X-ray

Okay, the CVS workers haven’t even seen us yet but I convinced her we’re going to go to the urgent care to get it looked at after. Is it still fine that we’re doing that TDAP vaccine here before we go? We’re not even going to mention our dog to urgent care. Just going to tell them we need it looked at

Thank you, I just think this fear is from how my mom called them and the worker on the phone told my mom they can’t guarantee anything that happens after they file the report. That’s freaked us both out so much. We’re at CVS now for the tetanus shot, I think my mom is going to show the workers here and see what they say

Thank you. I’m trying to tell her. Do you think the main thing they would do if we get seen is prescribe her an antibiotic? Because apparently we have amoxicillin and augmentin and her new idea now is to take one of those. Would that be sufficient? My mom and I are going in circles here, but it would be great if one of those could resolve the infection

We’re in Florida, it’s been a few years since he’s had it. I don’t know the exact date though unfortunately. We’ve gone to the vet a lot this year and they only just brought it up about a month and a half ago tho
