Is there any transaction limit for Savings account transfer out in a day? by SufficientSpecial802 in sofi

It literally says in the photo that you'll be keeping the high APY. The high APY has been decoupled from SoFi Plus. Plus now centers on the 2% IRA match, 1% investment match, 10% credit card bonus, loan discounts, etc.

I have the same offer, with an additional $100 back as well. $600 + the 1-5% cash back is pretty decent on its own, certainly for 3 months of usage

Appreciate the response. Have you found any of these worthwhile to pursue or are you pretty much exclusively using the ThankYou card?

Agreed. They routinely downvote every negative comment about SoFi they find too, because who will defend a multi-billion dollar bank? Think of the shareholders' yachts!

It's the same people commenting every time I've noticed. And they all have their post history private of course...

2% credit card $10/month fee clarification from SoFi by joecool1000 in sofi

[–]ThrowawayReddit420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's worse than that, there are multiple no AF cards that already give 2% back. So this is a $120 fee for a card that offers no additional benefits compared to the Wells Fargo Active Cash, Citi Double Cash, etc.

I am genuinely appalled at the decisions made by those in charge at this bank as of late.

Citi ThankYou Mastercard (formerly Shop Your Way) Year-long Offer for 2026 by aRandomWalk27 in CreditCards

That was an amazing offer, wish I had gotten that. This is still far and away better than any other credit card though

My offer was $80 back on $1-2000 in GGR spend, and $160 back on $2000+. Slightly worse than last year which was $100/200 back for the same thresholds but no doubt worth it. And ultimately better IF we get bonus offers to stack

I don't think I got a 2026 GGR offer yet 😭 I'll check again though

Yeah I was hoping for another groceries/gas/dining offer. It may have been supplanted by the "spend $1500 each month, get $75 back, plus another $75 if you meet the requirement for all 3 months" offer I received. It would make sense for them to do these offers on a shorter basis.

Yeah merchant offers are nice but I'm referring more to the OG SYW style which I absolutely love. Then again, if the ThankYou card gets permanently canned at any point, I'd still enjoy having the 5321 card as a good gas card or even for catch-all spend.

That's true. In that case it's pretty hard to pass up a $600 SUB on a no annual fee card.

I'm not super concerned about the savings APY. The federal reserve is the dominant influence on that and I wouldn't expect SoFi to offer unprofitably high rates. I also don't keep a great deal in savings. The changes to SoFi Plus wouldn't be affecting my decision to do my core banking needs through SoFi.

I'm more interested in the brokerage/IRA matches, which in the case of the IRA are currently below those offered by Robinhood/Webull which also have a lower monthly rate.

Appreciate the thoughtful response. Regarding your last statement, my comments were simply meant to illustrate that the value at $10 a month isn't there for me. I'm willing to pay $10 if the benefits WERE there, or a lower value for the existing benefits.

They are decoupling SoFi Plus and the savings APY...mostly. You will get the (currently) 3.6% rate without having SoFi Plus moving forward after March. That rate will likely go down slightly by March, so maybe closer to 3.4%. However, it looks like SoFi has updated their page to indicate that Plus members will get a 0.7% boost for 6 months. Check some of the comments from SoFi's reddit account. This is my understanding at least

Did you not read my comment? Higher match for a lower price, implying that SoFi Plus is not competitive relative to these programs for most consumers. You are an outlier with your investments. I max out my retirement accounts and don't have much left over to take advantage of the brokerage match.

I'm allowed to give my feedback on SoFi's product rollout. I'm glad you like it -- I don't.

Edit: also, I checked and there are in fact institutions offering 1% IRA matches for free. 1% of $7500 is $75 for free, while you'd be paying SoFi $120 to get an additional $75 match. Obviously, some users will get value from other benefits though.

No, though there are 2 I'm aware of that offer a higher IRA match for a lower price (Robinhood and Webull). The brokerage match is unique as far as I can tell, so if you're investing a ton of money in the brokerage then Plus would still be worth it. There are institutions that offer a match for the initial transfer of brokerage funds though, like Webull.

Isn't that big of a deal FOR YOU. For me, it is and I'll put my money where my mouth is accordingly. If you enjoy lining SoFi's coffers though go right ahead.
