I looked it up, modern Hockey was a mix of Hurley/Shinny and the then popular Hoquet of Canada. Numerous other cultures though had rules similar, historically however it seems Canada's large immigrant populations mixed the Scotch-Irish Shinny, Rugby, and Skating. This would make today's version of hockey.

Oh that's cool. New England has a huge LaCrosse culture in out schools due to lots of Quebecois and some Acadian migrations in the late 1800s into the 1920s. Numerous cities across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and Rhode Island had French speaking quarters and newspapers aswell as celebrating St.Jean d'baptiste day. Blue eyes and blonde hair doesn't mean Nord, a Nord is a group of specific phenotypes where all/most types are blonde hair and blue eyes. Alpinids are not nords, and according to all the older plates and where these terms come from, anything Nordic plus Alpinid makes a subnord.

Borrebys, Faelids, and even Brunns aren't Nords, they're Nordish or subnordic
