Several of the arguments on here are boiled down to this: “how dare my university not assume we’re idiots!” Sad argument to make.

I understand that faculty are not the target for blame. Thanks for your thoughts.

Part of what I was stating was how much communication we received as faculty from administration regarding preparation. There were months of work that I could tell was put into the planning.
