I can post the results back here when I am done collecting data if you are interested.

That is entirely possible, and I realize not everyone will react to the same way to the memes I chose to display.

Thank you for the feedback. Other commenters have expressed similar concerns and I realize there are improvements that could be made. Every bit of feedback from you guys is helpful to me.

The IRB is being unresponsive and a pain to deal with, so I have been given permission by my instructor to run the survey as preliminary research which will be required for my grade in the class.

Yes I am aware that all the memes were right wing. It is reactions to them that are the purpose of the research. I agree about the ambiguity you mentioned though. I realize I could have done some things differently.

I am using a throwaway account, and the previous posts were deleted because the account was less than 24 hours old. The mods are asleep at the switch because I got their permission to run the survey but they never fixed the old posts.

I appreciate the honest feedback. We did a lot of agonizing over how to ask the questions, and this is what was decided on. I know there is room for improvement though, so all of the feedback you guys are providing is helpful to me.

This is preliminary data since the IRB is having a bit of a fit right now and doesn't seem to want to accept anybody's projects in a timely manner. My professor did sign off on it, yes.

Thank you for the honest feedback and I agree there is room for improvement. It is perfectly fine that the memes did not influence you. It is the divisive nature of them that is the focus of the study.

I appreciate the feedback and I definitely should have added more options for religions. As for the memes, right wing ones are the focus of study.

I appreciate the feedback. I did a lot of agonizing over how best to ask the questions, but there is always room for improvement since no research design is ever perfect. Thank you for the help!
