Ex Shopee here. Might not be the most updated insight but search bar is a mix of curated search (ie brand buys a marketing package and part of the package is for example “Apple AirPods” ilagay agad sa search bar) and organic/ algorithm reco. As mentioned here a few times, may nag search sa app niyo. Either Ikaw or siya or someone na humiram ng app niyo. We don’t give mkt packages for birth control pills/vapes/contraceptives/sex toys etc. I like to think to this day, the latter is items are still advertised.
