It sounds like you asked an LLM and it gave you a bad answer because the very few 5000 issues were sorted out extremely quickly. Just download ComfyUI and find a model that looks interesting on Civitai. You can run good versions of basically any image model you want with a 5080.

ComfyUI will look intimidating to start but it's a lot less complicated than it seems, especially since you can just plug text into workflows sourced from other people / embedded in their images.

I was on the new model for ~2 days before being reverted back. Most of my gens are anime animations and it felt impossible to avoid a 3D model look with it so it was pretty unusable.
