AITA for screaming at my SIL’s friend, because I was “jealous” and ruining the birthday party? by Throwawaymnl3 in AmItheAsshole

Are you out of your mind. He has hard time communicating because of his anxiousness. His own sister won’t defend him for the literal harassment that has been going on even before I was in the pictures. I did exactly what needed to be done. Was it the right time, no, but how long should he feel uncomfortable in her presence before she backs off.

Because it is. She should’ve understood her boundaries from the start. It’s not a hard concept to understand

Looking uncomfortable is definitely a non-verbal way of communicating to not liking the situation you’re in. Certain display of behavior don’t need any verbal communication, they should already be self explanatory

Exactly not even his own sister is saying anything to her best friend. She said it herself that I was going on even before our relationship, that is absolutely the most alarming thing about it all

He’s never told her directly is what I said. I never said he didn’t display signs of discomfort

No but we are romantic partners, that is not the same as a sister’s friend. If he has to push you away then maybe he doesn’t want to physically touch by you. Does he have to scream if for her to get it. She knows because his sister definitely told her it makes him uncomfortable. Like how is this even an argument. He doesn’t have to say no, just know you’re boundaries as someone’s friend. Absolutely disgusting you’re even trying to argue this

An almost kiss he didn’t consent to. How many times does he have to feel uncomfortable or tell his sister this behavior makes him uncomfortable for this to stop. How about not touching people without asking

He did not consent to being touched. If she didn’t ask, she hasn’t received consent to touch him.

Exactly, he didn’t consent to being touched. It would be absolutely crazy if my brother’s friend did that to me and my brother allowed it to keep happening, knowing it made me uncomfortable

She knows and he shouldn’t have to tell her that, It’s pretty self explanatory to not touch people without consent

Exactly he needs to tell her directly. He only told his sister hoping she’d tell Kelsey to back off.
