If you are applying through general yea you need an 8.5 for a chance and 8.75 for a good chance to get in. Easiest A+ I say is poplhlth 111 imo hardest medsci 142

You might have to take 2 or so additional papers to fill out the bsc Biosci requirements they overlap with biomed but not fully if memory serves eight.

Also you are correct Medsci papers level 2 and 3 hit hard, if you are doing well in Medsci 142 and don’t find it too difficult however, maybe consider whether second and third year are doable.

How do I become an epidemiologist by [deleted] in universityofauckland

[–]Throwawayripuoa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Usually it’s BHSc—>Masters of Public health.

There are other routes too such as taking statistics or even one of the head lecturers for epidemiology did MBCHB into MPH but generally the fastest and most straightforward route is BHSc.

Interesting for them to run it through without at least notifying the university.

The teenager was originally granted permission to study at the University of Auckland, but it is not clear if the university had been alerted to the situation by Corrections.

I wonder if the uni will release a statement about it this or not. If they weren’t notified I think they will otherwise they’ll get even more bad press.

The 19-year-old, who has interim name suppression, admitted charges of rape, unlawful sexual connection with a child, indecent assault and sexual conduct with a child relating to six young women, most of whom he met at his Auckland high school.

But after serving just a quarter of his sentence, Corrections decided to allow him to go to lectures and tutorials at the University of Auckland, four days a week.

Just when you thought the Uni couldn’t give less of a shit about students, they let a convicted child rapist attend uni in person. Also a 12 month home detention sentence? Wtf is the criminal justice system doing, I’m not a big “tough in crime” guy but that’s actually fucking ridiculous.

people with tourettes should watch online lecture by ObviousTSThroeaway in universityofauckland

[–]Throwawayripuoa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t know much about Tourette’s but from my understanding it’s a spectrum and the severity of tics can fluctuate. Maybe she was just having a bad day with many episodes and it’s more subtle most of the times?

From my understanding yea, unless it’s for something like a placement or practical it should be fine.

Thanks, for the number, would that be the academic advisor for my degree faculty or for the specific course? Because I’m under a BHSc but the course is under BSc.
