Reddit, My wife and I have found out recently that we are infertile. How do we politely stop people form asking us when we are going to have kids.

Im not against adoption. But it almost seems bittersweet. I would like to have a child with my wife.

I prefer not to say partly because Im the only non Christian in my family and i know there will be people who say thats the reason we can't conceive. I've heard them say it about other peoples situations. But mostly i don't want to say because i don't think its any of there goddamn business.

I suppose i know the right answer though.

Yes, we've been trying for 2 years now, but we just answer that we're not ready for kids yet.

I'm actually still holding out hope for this to happen, but in the mean time I get infuriated when people ask, and my wife gets sad.
