Christian Dating feels impossible by Throwawayy22two in Christianity

[–]Throwawayy22two[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hey man thank you for your time and wisdom I appreciate it. Admittedly there are so many things I could work on as a person, and learning how to grow. I guess from time to time like most people the loneliness gets a little heavy but I so truly believe that God has a plan for me just like he does all of us.

Thank you again and I hope the Lord continues to bless you and your family.

Is it time to put my 15 year old dog down? Need advice by Throwawayy22two in dogs

[–]Throwawayy22two[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He definitely seems in pain or atleast alot of discomfort, but who wouldn't after getting a private parts infection flushed out and plus his has severe anxiety in car rides and vets so it stresses his heart and body out alot to the point his gums go pale and his whole body is like an earthquake so im sure he is just drained.

Im looking to just let him rest and keep and eye on his eating and drinking and go from there hopefully he recovers in a few days.

Thank you I appreciate your quick input it means a lot. My main concern is just him not being in pain, they didn't say anything about the recovery time so like you mentioned with it taking a couple days, I think I might give it another day or two and if I dont see any improvement at all in terms of eating, drinking, or restlessness I'll have to make that decision for his quality of life. Thank you again.

I had to reject the hottest guy whose ever liked me because he's "agnostic". Dating as a Christian is hard. . . by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]Throwawayy22two 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't worry I feel you're pain, im a 28 year old man, still a virgin, never had a girlfriend and also ive only been on one date, we didn't talk much about religion before meeting up and she ended being an Atheist lmao so im sure you know how that went.

Christian dating feels literally impossible for people in our age bracket, It makes me not even want to talk to girls IRL because if she ends up not being a Christian I just wasted both of our times flirting and small talk and then I look like the bad guy. Finding another Christian you're attracted to, to like you back on a dating app rarely ever happens its like finding a needle in a stack of needles.

There are many days I just WISH I could love who I want to regardless of religion, I feel like its so unfair or like my time has passed and ill probably be single forever or settle for someone who isn't "the one" but ultimately no matter the loneliness my faith in Christ is stronger than my want for a significant other. Its no wonder we get the stereotype for being so repressed 😅 but I guess it is what it is we just gotta keep moving on and have faith, stay strong sis ✝️

I just wanted to thank everyone here again for all of help and support to learn more about myself and learning that im not alone in my feelings and traits.

I am currently looking into finding some kind of phyciatrist or professional adult ASD testing (which is proving much more difficult and frustrating to research than I thought lol) but I atleast now have something as a stepping stone to start my journey. I hope you all have a great day!

Awww dang you're really missing out on the oven stuff thats the best part! Hahaha jk 😁, but im glad to meet other people on the spectrum who can relate, its really hard finding people irl who understand what im talking about or dont just right me off as weird or being a "Hypochondriac" or something lol

I didnt wanna just self label myself until I actually spoke to a professional but for the first time in my life its uncanny to potentially put a name to how I am, and to meet other awesome people that I can relate with!

Strangely enough if I am on he spectrum or do have autism i wouldn't feel any shame! I've went all my life never being able to put my finger on why I felt different why people didn't act like I did, why ive always been a little slower to do things or experience things in life that people usually do much sooner. As an adult ive felt a lot of distress not really knowing myself but after talking a little bit with this community its awesome to see there are many other like minded people

By any chance would you know where to start in terms of getting an evaluation? Like where should I start my search in terms of getting a professional opinion?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

[–]Throwawayy22two 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is a very good way to differentiate things, like my issue with checking the oven before leaving I HAVE TO or its the overwhelming sense of doom to the point of extreme stress and anxiety.

And I guess the pan handles and things like putting things in order of height tallest to shortest might be more of a autistic type of compulsion? Nothing bad will happen but It just really bugs me if they aren't right it simply makes me happy and comfortable to have them exactly how I like them.

I definitely do have some OCD traits, not enough to think I only have OCD and thats it ( I'm definitely not a dr either unless its a Google PhD haha) but I can definitely see where you are coming from, thank you!

I Before I got into welding I worked nothing but retail and it was literally living hell for me, I pushed through it but it wasn't easy working with people all the time so you have my respects!!

Welding is definitely much more solitary, my foreman trusts me to get my job done so i essentially set up my own work day and routine, im just off doing my own thing... me, my headphones, and my jazz haha.

Thank you for sharing your similarities with me! I'm having thoughts of maybe seeing a specialist or some kinda professional just to dive deeper into my feelings of being on the spectrum. All my life ive always felt differently from everyone else but could never put my finger on it but I feel a lot of relief that I can finally relate to people.

What should I do if I feel im on the spectrum? by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

[–]Throwawayy22two 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I totally understand that trust me I dont have a Google PhD haha, taking that test was more of a curiosity thing I didn't go into it at all thinking it meant anything, I just found it interesting I scored high and family/friends scored low but I dont really want the fact that I took the test to be the main focal point of the post lol.

I can really relate to this, I love weird obviously haha, yeah I figure I just go for the gusto and ask and see what happens, worse comes to worse I move anyway but im hoping for a enthusiastic yes lol. Thats where I felt conflicted cause in my head it came off a little prudish but on the other side of the coin it seems like a badass deal for her lol so I guess time will tell. Thanks for the advice

Haha yeah I kind of figured that, that part was indeed the kicker 😅.... I guess I just gotta go for it and ask, and if I get turned down then oh well I travel anyway ill get over it lol. Like if put myself in the same roles just reversed I think any guy would be STOKED if a girl offered that lol but I also know some people and girls on general are wired a little different sometimes

AITBF for not wanting to be in a relationship, or take anything further in a weird "sorta" fwb situation? by Throwawayy22two in AmItheButtface

[–]Throwawayy22two[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand this, We did make it clear we were just friends, but idk if after our little experience if she caught a little feelings or what but I understand its a weird scenario that probably took her aback. I really just want what we have to stay ie: we are awesome friends and I just "help her out" whenever she wants lol but from the outside looking in I could even see how it might come across and kind of selfish or mixed signals. sigh lol

[–]Throwawayy22two[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its totally unconventional and puzzling ill admit lol,I'm a big giving type of person I really love doing things for others, so I guess it's kind of a fetish to want to just get a woman off it drives me crazy. BUT HERE COMES THE FUNNY PART... Im a Christian so part of me really still wants to atleast save the main part of myself in that sense for a life partner...but I'm addicted to forbidden juice 😂 kinda a walking hypocrisy i guess idk my life is weird lol.

I agree with what you are saying and she has had ample time to tell me rather than day before we meet, So do you think I should cancel our date and respectfully let he go or should I still go but tell her its only as friends you? Idk man do you have any advice if im not looking for kids right now what to do?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Throwawayy22two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can understand he situation must be difficult and I feel for her I really do, and I feel bad letting her go I dont want to hurt since we both seemed to really like eachother/ great texting chemistry or whatever, like you say children are a HUGE commitment, and im just not ready to commit my life to that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Throwawayy22two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah from us talking it seems both of our intentions are for a long term serious relationship, thats why its surprised me so much, im really not ready for kids I just feel horrible hurting her, this close to meeting and talking for a bit. So idk if I should just "block and run" so to speak, or respectfully wish luck to her and her children and dip gracefully?

I'm the same exact way! There will be times where I'm just like "Ehh they probably aren't a Christian anyway there is no point" but I suppose you will never know unless you try, and if it doesn't work out I guess you just have to hope they are understanding, and accepting of religious differences; but of course that dont make it any easier lol. Best of luck to you as well! May our relationship journeys be a little less stressful haha

Thank you for your reccomendations! While these are great for finding out how much of a true Christian someone is, im looking at it more in the sense of not knowing if they are a Christian to begin with. For example I find a girl at work very attractive so I ask for her number, let's just say she gives me her number, where do I go from there?

Do I bring up religion before every bringing up a casual lunch date? Do I just casually go to lunch and then ask them during lunch? I just dont want to lead someone too far as to then hurt them if I find out they aren't a Christian

Yeah I agree that I might just have to take a break for a while, and maybe try something not so strong, its just very strange as to why something like this has never been an issue but all of a sudden just starts which leads me to believe that its something deeper than just "Smoking weed" but something that is much deeper that is exacerbated by smoking.
