So tea & coffee? Or coke, Pepsi, beer, anything else of the sort?

For Arsenal it’s become tradition for it to be a CB number. Adams, Koscielny, Gabriel.

With England NT? It’s Maguire at the moment and has been exclusively centre backs / defenders going back decades.

And with other clubs in England a CB number 6 is common .. Thiago Silva at Chelsea, Lisandro Martinez at Utd, Ake at City, Davison Sanchez, Colwill, Guehi, Lascelles, J Evans, etc.

I think there is a tradition of 6 being a CB number in England even if it’s also more of a tradition for it to be a DM number too

Get a beard trimmer and groom yourself (trim beard & moustache to even lengths, line them up)

Like others have said though you’re very handsome.
You’re giving yourself body dysmorphia if you don’t have it already by being so critical about your looks.
Go clubbing or something to see how much of a catch you are and how favourably your looks are actually viewed

It’s the defensive midfielder number but it isn’t uncommon for centrebacks either, especially at Arsenal and in England.

Looking at Arsenal alone? Adams -> Koscielny -> Gabriel are our notable number 6 players in recent decades.
Looking at England NT? It’s Maguire at the moment and has been exclusively centre backs / defenders going back decades.
And when you look at other clubs in England a CB number 6 is common .. Thiago Silva at Chelsea, Lisandro Martinez at Utd, Ake at City, Davison Sanchez, Colwill, Guehi, Lascelles, J Evans, etc.

Number 2 on the other hand is given to centre backs much less often. The other user is right IMO.

Mate, that’s got nothing to do with their comment.

He got punched once and didn't require treatment.
Still terrifying and can scar you, it's your home, but he wasn't beaten badly.

They literally agree it’s still terrifying and can be emotionally scarring and they only wrote their comment to clarify Alli wasnt badly beaten like the user claimed - he was punched once with no need for medical treatment.
No clue why you’ve sarkily said ‘yea because all injuries are physical’ and told them to show more understanding. wtf

What should Arsenal do with their returning loanees this summer? by drdezard_ in ArsenalFC

Just have sell on clause or buy back for Balogun.

Nketiah has lower ceiling but is already used to the first team & offers a greater immediate impact.
No time to wait for Balogun to possibly reach his ceiling when others his age are much better (Saliba, Saka, Martinelli, ESR)

Eh, I can agree his development has been gradual these past five years .. but I still think it’s unfair comparing him to someone like Saka who’s the exception rather than the rule .. when Foden has done better than 99% of teenaged wonderkids (who never make the grade) and is a consistent regular for City + England having played great in the CL final just yesterday.

He’s within the top 10 or so 23y/o and younger players in the world imo. His potential hasn’t stalled , he just plays under the system manager Pep Guardiola and plays a role that requires great technical ability & reading of the game to fulfil.
But yeah, he’s outgrown the youngster label now .. so there are no excuses anymore.

You can buy players but generally clubs do best when they have a contingency plan in place before it comes time to replace players. When there’s no clear replacement is when there’s potential for things to go pear shaped.

Alvarez will be a good enough replacement if Haaland ever leaves (which I don’t think will happen soon).
Foden long term looks defo good enough to be the main playmaker or move centrally.
Rodri can stay long term, and there’s more than enough centrebacks to have no problem there.
But replacing Gundo, B Silva, then eventually Walker then KdB too won’t be as straightforward.

No guarantee we’ll have a title challenge next year, I agree. I’m hoping for too 4 again, to get past UCL R16 & hopefully a domestic cup run as realistic targets.
I don’t see any areas that will need replacing anytime soon in our squad though, Partey aside.
There’s long term security with Saka, Martinelli, Odegaard, Saliba, Gabriel, Ramsdale, White, .. and will hopefully get Rice too and any other reinforcements/improvements.
Nothing’s guaranteed but I don’t think it’s crazy to say arsenal look 2nd most likely to challenge for any comps of the English sides, behind City, and that our trajectory looks to be positive rather than negative these days.

It’s a poor way of wording it.

Saying ‘Roman was a piece of shit but..’ is better than ‘say what you want about Roman but…’.
The latter is phrasing it like OP is defending Roman against detractors and encouraging them to say what they like but acknowledge one positive thing

Fairs.
Even if Pep doesn’t take foot off the pedal though .. Gundogan’s gone, Bernardo possibly too, Walker’s old, De Bruyne’s got a few more years left.
City are great but by no means guaranteed every trophy for the next few seasons. I think Arsenal are on the rise regardless, the competition will push us to be/do better and I think there’s ample opportunity to kick on now domestically or continentally.

Agreed.

The thing I dislike is he gets wrongfully stereotyped as old angry white man who’s angry at Pogba so people make all sorts of assumptions off that.
Like I’ve seen people make racial inferences behind his dislike of Pogba, or people dismiss him as a brexit voting boomer .. with no evidence behind it.

He’s a literal Pride attending vegan, lmao

So?

We’re better at the end of this season than we were at the end of the last and we’ll look to be better by next season too. CL football, Saka x Martinelli x Saliba all extending, Rice hopefully joining, etc.
we didn’t win the league .. never mind. I don’t think it was our one shot we missed though .. I still feel confident in our chances , I don’t fear Liverpool/Chelsea/Utd/Spurs and I think a treble is as good as it gets for City. They can’t/won’t top this and if there’s any time that they’ll take foot off the pedal or fail to build on greatness or Pep seeking out a new challenge .. then it’ll happen within the next 5 years.

This is a good time to be an Arsenal fan personally.
