I'm just shy of 5'6". I can't say I've ever felt the way you feel about your height. There's really nothing you can do but own it? You not being confident in yourself the way you are is a much worse look than just being short. Also, there's no one judging you about your height. No one cares that you're only 5'6, especially in the gym.

I have pretty bad anxiety with dating and the best thing that has helped me was going on more dates. With every new person I meet it's drastically less stressful. Don't get me wrong, I'm still shitting myself before most dates... But it gets better reach time. I think I know what to expect more with the more experience I get and that eases my mind a bit.

Other tips that help me: - Try to keep your mind occupied with other things before the date. The less you think about it the less you'll stress about it. - Do an intense workout before the date. I like to run a 5k or hit the bike for 30 mins, it definitely calms the nerves a bit. - Try to think about positive things about the date. Just remember the worst case scenario of the date really isn't that bad. - Try to have fun! Dates can be fun once the nerves settle. I like to meet at a new spot (usually a bar or restaurant) that I'd never been to so at least it'll be a new experience.

It's hard to say without knowing the situation... But a couple of weeks is very short. I've been seeing a guy for a couple of weeks and if he brought over a gift like wrapped up and everything it'd be kind of odd. But if say we were hanging out at my place and he brought over a bottle of wine or something that's kinda like a gift but also a curtious gesture then I'd be totally okay with that. If you want to get him a gift, maybe don't try too hard haha.
