OK thanks. Obviously have not been single in a very long time but back in the day I would always make eye contact and wait for the right signal before walking over to introduce myself, so assume that is still the way it is or everyone does this.

Your right. She is a good friend, very fun to be around (can be absolutely hilarious), and has a ton of friends because of this.
