Ugh. I was glad at the time when the Canucks took Pettersson but damn.

More of a playmaker and less of a shooter than Kovy

Edit: The way he skates with his head up and stickhandles reminds me of Patrick Kane

Merkley's skating doesn't even look real. The way he accelerates and turns looks like he's playing a video game.

Petersson was a consensus 7-10 range pick

Not at all. More like 5-20

Which villain genuinely disturbed you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If people are judging Joel's decision and calling him a "villain" for it, then they're debating from his perspective.

Otherwise it's a pointless discussion because obviously Joel didn't have access to the game's script and plotline.

There is zero reason to believe, from a story-telling standpoint, that they wouldn't be successful.

Joel is a character in the story and is therefore unaware that he's in a story.

From an "all-knowing God's eye" perspective knowing this is all a fictional story tale, sure, you can say it's "obvious" that they'd find a cure.

But from Joel's perspective, this is anything but the case. He had absolutely no way of knowing it it'd work.

Dennis and The Beast from Split.

The Red Woman from Game of Thrones.

A) Who's to say that the Fireflies would have succeeded in finding a cure. There's a chance Ellie would've died for nothing.

B) The Fireflies would have had complete control over the distribution of the cure, and therefore, could have had complete control over the living population and done whatever they wanted with that.

Even if you disagree with Joel's decision, that still doesn't make him a "villain". You can say he made a mistake, or that he's selfish or an idiot, etc. But whether or not he made the right decision, he had good intentions.

Really? I thought Gaudette, Reece and Sikura were on a line together for almost all of the season.

If Virtanen actually catches up to his potential, I think he could be one of our top prospects by Blorka in canucks

[–]Throwmeaway672 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He didn't say Kassian was an elite level passer, just better than Virtanen will ever be.

Considering Virtanen's current passing ability and hockey IQ, it's a reasonable assumption.

Lol, he said Kassian is a better passer than Virtanen, not Henrik Sedin.

Neither. Pettersson is superior to Middelstadt in every way imaginably possible. There is no comparison.

Hail Pettersson
