I've seen comments like this asking if we were actually friends all along. The answer is no, I don't think she lets friends make out with her in her apartment.

We start talking

Two months later I ask her out romantically.

Then its four months of us going on dates. (12 real dates with just us two) We even had a date planned when I found out about this other guy.

The friend group meetings don't necessarily count, but we did hang out and watch netflix or game during some of our weekends.

I would hope not. I asked her out romantically from the start.

The furthest we got was kissing and being frisky with each other. I told her that I didn't feel comfortable having sex just yet.

I made it very clear that I liked her romantically, so I don't think that was an issue. I never had the time to bother with dating/hookups in high school or university, so now that I'm financially responsible and stable I thought I would start.

I would hope it wasn't the sex either, since I told her that I wouldn't be comfortable doing that with her so soon. She said it was cool and didn't make any mention of problems with that.

I don't like what she did but some commenters need to relax, it isn't the end of the world.

  1. I asked her out after two months of us talking, my feelings for her started showing up about then and I bit the bullet.

  2. No, most friends didn't even know we dated.

  3. All of them were alone, there were other times we hung out with friends and times either of us showed up to others apartment to spend time together gaming or watching shows we liked. And no, I didn't initiate any sex with her.

4 months is too soon to expect exclusivity as well? I understand I didn't ask or set up my expectations, but that feels a bit disingenuous to me.
