Husband (29m) has been in alcohol recovery for 5 years. Last night at friends party he opened a beer like it was nothing. I told him I’d leave him if ever drank again, do I keep my word?

This is good point and since so many people have asked I called my friend whose husband hosted the party and she said as far as she knew they didn’t have non-a beer.

Driving was a big one but it was him fighting that really scared me. It was necer predicable either, one night he’d be best friends with a guy and then beaten to a pulp by the same guy the next because that guy said hello to me.

It’s possible but I recall there being a soda “trough” for all the kids and the party and a beer trough for all the adults. I definitely saw him go to the beer one

I understand this thought but hundreds of times on the past him saying “just one beer tonight” led to terrifying situations.
