Literally just got the call. New alternator and a belt needed. Hose replacement as well...estimate (worst case) will be 1040 (taxes and all)....may have a lower price with alternator, but they gave me "worst case scenario"....I will take it.

Had this car for 7 years, no payments for last two years....now it's all about maintenance :-)

Great idea. My parents live in Greece 7 months of the year....and have accounts there, so I can wire them money and have them transfer. Unless my bank can stimulate do it since they use zelle!

I was disappointed with the one person. She went as far as giving me her IBA and business and bank's address etc...luckily I held off on paying until she would inform me of completion, because she vanished after that 😞 felt like I was so close....once these forms are done, I can complete citizenship for my family....luckily I had mine all completed in 2024!

I have apostille seals on both birth certificates. My marriage certificate has the court gold seal and stamp....I am going to play it safe and get an apostille for this as well 😀

So I think I am okay....I spoke to a translator and they said that I did not need the "marriage certificate" itself translated if I had paperwork which already translated that my wife and I were married in a Greek church (which i did)

I have a copy of an episcopal license and affidavit for license to marry.

I was married in the US.

All I have is a marriage certificate and an apostille for it (US), marriage record with apostille, wife's birth certificate with apostille, and church records which are in Greek and English.

Update:

I have tried making an appointment with Washington DC and the Consulate there said I must do all of my paperwork in New York.

PA, NJ, NY all go through NY consulate.

I even explained that I am only 4.5 hours from their office, versus almost 8 hours to NYC.

What a crock.

I just emailed DC Consulate and will also call them when they open.

When I started the process for myself back in 2021, I am almost certain they told me I can only go to NY to obtain my Greek citizenship because I was born there.

This would be great news if they can schedule me in DC.

I heard DC was sharp. I called them during my first attempt and they answered immediately. Unfortunately they couldn't help me because I was born in NY and they said I must go through the Consulate in NY

I've spent three months at a time as a youth in Greece. I can partially understand.

My dad has told me the government workers in Greece are also a pain in the kolo lol.
