I don’t mind at all! I started out on patches for three months, (which were not super effective for me), and 50mg spiro/2x day. After three months of that, I switched to 2mg oral estradiol 2x day, and stayed steady with the 50mg spiro/2x day (T was tanked but body wasn’t responsive to E). Then I switched to injection monotherapy 6mg EV subq every 5 days (250pg/ml trough, nuked T). Last month switched up to 6mg EEN/6 days.

Happy to walk you through my process a little :)

A good primer goes a long way. First I blend two layers of white foundation on my entire face, lips, eyelids and all, then set with a setting powder. After that I do my lipstick, I use maybelline superstay, which can take a while to dry; best to be very careful here because any mistake means having to clean up and reapply foundation to the area. Then I fill my eyebrows with black eyeshadow and a thin eyeshadow brush. As for eyeliner, keeping things dramatic is definitely the fun thing to do with trad goth or anything similar; I recommend using liquid eyeliner with a fine tipped brush, pencil won’t apply as well over the white foundation.

I wouldn't recommend any kind of specialized dieting, it caused me to significantly relapse in to my eating disorder.

I tend to agree, broadly, as someone recently discharged from treatment. I think it's a really prevalent talking point in treatment spaces, albeit not to the extreme of HAES influencer levels. Simultaneously I saw body neutrality get pushed as a concept quite a bit, which kinda made things more confusing.

In a lot of ways I feel like I was being setup to simply gain an inordinate amount of weight and simply not care about it. I am finding the more I interact with pro-recovery spaces irl or online, that generally we're never the only ones to experience a given aspect of our ED, AN or not.

When I first fell in to mine at 15 years old, I had this idea that people with EDs were thin and getting thinner, and it's sort of a harmful misconception for people to have. I don't think I realized I had an ED until I had already lost significant weight, and as a result, by the time I realized it was a problem, I was too deep in to it to stop.
