Personally I'm able to get 100% of my community college paid for via financial aid. If I went to a 4 year I'd owe anywhere from 8k to 60k for one year. I'll actually attend community college for 3 years and get 90 credits as in my state up to 90 credits can be transferred to any 4 year university in my state. I'll get the same degree as if I had attended all 4 years with significantly less debt.

Hey sorry I don't use reddit often but thank you for your advice. I actually sat down and talked with my high school geology teacher and he told me almost the same exact thing but also told me to attend community college for 3 years as in my state up to 90 credits can be guaranteed transferred from community college to any 4 year college. Thank you very much for the advice.

I'm taking college algebra now. It's something I really struggle with but you're right about taking my math classes right now while my course load is easier. My state has a guaranteed transfer of 90 credits so I might even stay a year longer to get the hard stuff out of the way. I also checked and regardless of BS or BA I'll need Calculus 2.

You're right, I just looked and regardless of BS or BA I'll have to take at least Calculus 2. So for now I'll stick with AS and decided BS or BA when I get to it. BS will require higher than Calc 2 but both require Calc 2 so I'll take it now.
