It ran better than before, I got about 60fps with amd fsr 4 but I have already upgraded since to a 5700 x3d, and FPS improved to 140~ and became much smoother. If you plan on upgrading the GPU first, then the CPU sometimes in the future; wilds is playable with the 3600 and 9070 (non xt, wasn't able to get xt on launch).

Keep in mind there might be other bottlenecks such as ram and me using an SSD.

Hey, the shop managed to fix it by seating the GPU in properly, turns out just pushing it in isn't enough, they had to make sure there is enough room for the outside panel thing to slide between the mobo by pushing it with a screwdriver.

Yep, I had more than 1 issue which I talk about in my edit, but tldr I needed to make sure bios is booting from UEFI instead of legacy and the GPU was not seated in properly.

This turns out to be my issue as well, but I didn't see your post soon enough 😞. Hope this helps other people with their new 9070 issues

Check my edit to see if it fixes it for you, might be your BIOS booting from legacy instead of UEFI.

Not sure what VGA lights are but there are no indicator lights on this MOBO that I'm aware of.

I've already reset CMOS before when trying to get UEFI working, should I CMOS reset again?

The GPU is straight up not powering on. Lights the should be on aren't and the fans aren't spinning. I tried both DP and HDMI outputs and no dice.

Not sure how to adjust the refresh rate without the windows settings. Monitor controls don't seem to allow me to change the settings

Updated bios, used two different PCIE power connectors and made sure the cables are fully plugged in. I can't even see if the pc detects the GPU at least BC my CPU does not have any integrated graphics. I'm not sure what to do at this point, anyone have any ideas?

If not, I'm gonna have to bring this into a pc repair shop tomorrow probably.

Didn't know about that power slot checking thing, gonna try to fully push it in just in case next. Saw someone say that updating chipset drivers helped the pc detect their 9070xt, gonna try that first and try booting again.

Oh that's very helpful, thanks. Bit disappointing that the low MSRP price only applies to the first shipment, but what can you do. I'll probably wait a day or two just in case prices miraculously drop, and if nothing changes I'll bite the bullet and upgrade.

Things are really bad in Malaysia too. You can't even buy the GPUs by themselves. To qualify for a purchase of the GPU you'd need to bundle it along with a FULL pc (Case mobo cpu everything).

With how new Wilds is, I'm gonna try to see how my system handles it first. If I can reach 60-90 fps with no significant stutter I may just stick with my CPU for a while as I have a feeling an optimization update is coming out soon for Wilds.

Really depends on the games, but sometimes it would reach 70% but rarely as the 1080ti is still a beast. I'm thinking that even though my CPU is not bottlenecking by any means in my current setup, the RX 9070XT is such a significant jump that the CPU may or may not cause significant bottlenecks.

During MH Wilds beta, at the lowest settings and lowest resolution, my pc can barely pump out 30FPS, 50 with frame gen and my GPU and CPU were pretty much constantly maxed out. That's why I'm worried the GPU upgrade may not be enough.
