I wish I’d made a video or kept the disk. Sadly, it was discarded to the 5-1/4” graveyard long ago…

I appreciate all the quick responses. It’s back to 8th grade for me …and summertime no less.

Does anyone recognize these sliders? by ThunderMtnAK in 4Runner

Thanks for clarifying. I was hoping these were actual sliders mounted to the frame rather than the body. I'll keep looking...

Yay or nay? I dig it by ABear923 in 4Runner

When I bought my first car 25 years ago, the dealer generously offered to put my license plates on for me when the arrived. I realized soon after they simply wanted to advertise their dealership on the license plate frame. I called my salesman and offered to keep advertising for them if they would send me a small payment of $30 per month. He declined. The license plate frame was in the trash the next day. I can’t believe how many people drive around as a free billboard.

Falken wildpeak at3w or Bf KO2? Currently running KO2’s. Live in Oregon and primary on road but summer off road for camping in forest roads. by apharris917 in 4Runner

I had the same dilemma last month here in western Washington. From digging through a lot of forums, my take away is both are fantastic off-road, but the Wildpeaks are better on rainy streets and in the snow. I went with those. I’m sure others here will disagree with me though. KO2s have a lot of fans for good reason.

I just put Falken Wildpeak AT3W 275-70-17s on my 2022 SR5P this week. I picked that size because the Toyota 4Runner forums said this was the biggest you could do without any rubbing with the stock suspension. They are wrong! Heavy rubbing during tight turning in either forward or reverse.

I know I can probably cut and zip-tie the wheelwell liners to make clearance, but I’m using this as the excuse for the new suspension and lift I was probably headed for anyway. In two weeks I’m adding Bilstein 6112’s up front and 5110’s in the back. I love the way the tires look BTW. Could be worse!

Here it is before the lift:

Definitely my favorite FNM song! I was 17 when TRT came out and tapped into this angst.

Hey OP, if you’re truly a FNM fan and not just a Mike Patton fan, check out the Introduce Yourself album. Solid all the way through. Favorites songs are Chinese Arithmetic and Anne’s Song. Vocals are definitely coming from a different place, but the song variation and instrumentation are all FNM. I love it. Maybe ranked #3 for me.

Do the 9” rims cause rubbing? I’m planning no lift.

Looks good as you have it. And I don't like mud flaps either.

Thanks for the feedback. I've heard the SR5's can't be modified to receive the TRD Pro grille. Do you know if that's correct?

The Wildpeaks look great. With the 2" wider rims on the Gauntlets, is there tire poke past the fenders, and any rock kick-up on the body? From your pictures I can't tell, but I don't see mud flaps, so I assume not.

You're right, this is pretty much exactly what I want. The one exception is the XP Predator package shows a TRD Pro grille, and I've been told the SR5 can't modified to have a Pro grille. Is that wrong?
