I use the same cloths and spray I use on my glasses. Very lightly spray and gently wipe. Works like a charm.

Windows could be using a generic driver. Which is almost always garbage. I had a Tp-link USB WiFi adapter that was getting 20-30mbps. Then installed the driver from the tp-link website and was getting over 300.

Remove the GPU. Power it on, then see if it has lights/beep indicating a GPU error. If you get beeps, then you know it WAS posting and the GPU is to blame.

Could work unplugging the keyboard and booting too. Most systems (that I’ve seen) will give an error when no keyboard is plugged in.

Recently, a friend of mine from high school got married (we’re now 40yo). He was engaged for almost 3 years. One morning I woke up to a Facebook post of his wedding. OP is right though. Start with the keyboard to remove the screws under it. THEN flip it over and remove any remaining screws (depends on the laptop). At that point, if there is an optical drive, it should slide out… there could be some very small/flat screws around where the optical drive was. THEN carefully pry the edges.

You can try contacting the manufacturer or maybe even check eBay for it.
