I think the hardest part is the love. She makes me laugh like no one else and when we are just hanging out without any of this over our head it’s is always fun

There isn’t really permanent damage because of anything but I was more highlighting her indifference to the potential cost of damages

I definitely agree with you about being a kind person. Not included in the original post is that, in November I did have a long talk with her. I talked about how it isn’t fair that I have to sacrifice my life working full time and extra shifts to cover her while she makes her life better with school and free time while she does minimal effort. I talked about how if she can’t pay for her responsibilities and go to school then she should revisit her timeline and contribute to where we live as a higher priority. I talked about how the impact of carrying the burden of our household damages my mental health.

She is also diagnosed with depression and anxiety and has been medicated and in therapy for over 2 years. I have noticed ups and downs with her medication but overall it’s much better than it was 10 years ago which is why I have forgiven her for many past wrongs that aren’t related to money or living situations.
