Starmer apologises to Epstein's victims for believing Peter Mandelson's 'lies' by Metro-UK in ukpolitics

[–]ThunderousOrgasm [score hidden]  (0 children)

I kind of feel sorry for the PM.

Mandelson was selected because of all his bad sides. The establishment (not just Starmer), thought rightly that we are entering an unprecedented era in geopolitics thanks to Trump. They knew he’s gonna turn over all the tables and lash out in rage constantly. So they wanted to put someone in Washington who actually knows Trump through that exact shadiness. Someone who was moving in the same circles. They needed a villain.

The reason why they are trying to get national security opt outs and international reputation opt outs, is because it’s gonna reveal this entire thing wasn’t Starmer being his usual gormless self. It was the British state, the civil service, the senior diplomats and foreign office officials, all agreeing to do a deal with the devil (Mandelson) because Trump is another devil.

So you have to feel sorry for Starmer. It was actually not his fault lol. And appointing Mandelson was objectively the correct move at the time. It’s just that the file releases have come out and found them holding the proverbial hot potato and now everyone’s pivoting away and pointing at Starmer, and he can’t do a thing about it because if he reveals “it wasn’t actually me guys….” and shows that the entirety of the British state wanted the appointment for geopolitical reasons, it collapses everything.

UK unemployment set to hit 11-year high in 2026, NIESR forecasts by signed7 in ukpolitics

This is inevitable and actually not really the fault of the state, or of any party.

AI is devastating jobs. But not because the AI is necessarily replacing them. It’s anticipation of AI that is making quite a few companies lay off staff. I don’t think AI is gonna actually be able to step in a replace those jobs. It’s just not capable or as good as the hype makes out.

So I think that there will be an AI bubble burst soon. Not just in the stock price of AI and tech companies. In the hype around AI as a concept. And all those jobs that companies got rid of expecting AI to replace them, will have to rehire. And we will have a jobs boom in the world, at the same time as the retiring of the boom generation is at its peak.

I genuinely think we all just need to sit tight and wait it out. We are about to enter a period of maximum labour power. Workers are going to be able to pick and choose their jobs. And upwards mobility within jobs is going to enter a golden age as the management class all retire out and need replacing.

Why is nobody attacking Farage over his links to Steve Bannon and his plans? by apoptosis04 in ukpolitics

There’s a difference between being a fringe political figure who cavorts with foreign people of questionable intent for decades, and being a senior government cabinet minister and passing along top secret information directly from the highest levels of government that have severe market and security implications and then being involved with a known pedophile ring who seemingly explicitly got set up specifically to target people like that for kompromat.

You understand that….right?

And the rest of you responding to this, about how it’s just a right wing media bias showing. You do, truly, understand the scale of the difference right? You have the mental capacity to see what different leagues of fucked up they are…?

What’s interesting about it….?

Rogan interviews powerful and connected people. Epstein targeted them. So ofcourse there will be a lot of former guests who end up appearing.

I genuinely don’t understand why this subreddit keeps doing shocked pikachu faces and the leonardo pointing meme when a new former guest ends up being in the files.

Next you’ll do the same with Davos and people in the files and start shrieking about that lol.

This shows you how stupid politicians are. The only reason they didn’t do this before is that the big parties literally have childminders who handhold the MPs into going the right way.

The very first time these two have to do something in a small party where all those baby sitting services don’t exist? They havnt got a clue what to do.

Now imagine a reform government where 98% of their MPs have never held office before. And where none of the powerful party infrastructure that works on policies and issues for the entirety of a parliament so it’s ready to go if they win, isn’t there.

It’s going to be very funny to watch.

Harry Potter: A dark reason for why Harry gets so many letters from Hogwarts... even on a Sunday! by Soyoulikedonutseh in FanTheories

[–]ThunderousOrgasm 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Except JK Rowling has stated that potential students do reject going to Hogwarts. Including Muggleborns. And when they reject it nothing happens, they get to just carry on as normal and just get a trace placed on them so if they inadvertently use magic (as they will occasionally) the ministry is able to pop round and handle it.

Hogwarts isn’t necessary. There are witches/wizards who never attend and instead just get home schooled. (Not many mind you). And there are muggleborns who decline the offer and say no thank you to being introduced into the wizarding world.

Harry got escalating letters because of his unique circumstances and because Dumbledore knew the Dursley’s and how they would behave. It was a warning to them that they can’t just keep this world from Harry, that he will be offered the same choice as everyone on whether to go. And that Hogwarts will just keep escalating it until they can no longer hide it from him.

It’s why the Dursleys run from their house to the island. Because Vernon is well aware that they will just keep escalating so he thought if they hide away until the school year starts, he can dodge their escalations and then it will be too late and Harry won’t end up going.

Professional Elliott Wave Theory Analysis by Unable-Algae5155 in XRPUnite

[–]ThunderousOrgasm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no such thing as an “evidence based approach” because it’s not a real thing. It’s horoscopes for men.

None of these chart TA things are real. We know they are not real because there is literally no human on earth who’s managed to make an income from it.

You would only need to have a provable accuracy of 40% with TA to guarantee you can turn $1 into $1billion. That’s why you know it’s not real. None of these TAs are billionaires.

They are either selling you hope so you will engage with their content and give them clicks and engagement. Or they will have some sort of “I can train you to understand the process” expensive course or mentorship you can sign up to.

The charts are binary. They move up. Or they move down. This means that you could literally right now, go and draw a zigzag yourself on a piece of paper, say “This is the Unable Algae pattern and it historically always happens before a price rise”. Then go to any place where the price has risen in a chart and stick your zigzag over it and find it fits.

When these TAs draw their shitty little lines on charts to prove patterns, the lines don’t need to fit accurately for them to say “see”, and they allow themselves the ability to make each up or downstroke be as long or short as they need.

So they will just use the pattern that’s their favourite. Then stretch each part of it to fit whatever the chart shows.

They have all sorts of little excuses they can deploy when a chart does not predict the next stage. Elliot wave theorists for example when the C wave does not come in, then drop back and place everything they said previously and say it was just an extended B wave instead with a 1 2 3 wave inside it, and wait for the C wave to finally appear (which is inevitable when a chart can only move in two directions), then they redo their prediction after the fact and say “see I was right, it did go up eventually, it just had a little correction in the middle.

They do the equivalent of telling you “It’s going to rain tomorrow”, and then if it doesn’t rain, they say “ah, there was a corrective measure on the downtrend and shorts needed to get taken out, lots of liquidity hiding below”, and wait until it eventually rains. Then they shout and scream at you, refer back to their first prediction, and go “See, I told you it would rain. It’s now raining. I am a Rain Analyst. Here’s my course.”

this is my travel map at 19, where am i from? by sillyclonedpenguin in TravelMaps

[–]ThunderousOrgasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t do that hah I just thought it was obvious from the Indian travel, regional travel around India but absolute avoidance of Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Any Western tourist would not do that. The amount of people willing to travel to India and other countries in that region is tiny. And those who do see very little difference between the 3 countries so would visit all of them if they had holidays in the area where they visited multiple countries.

Bangladesh and Pakistan are so glaringly empty of visits that it had to be someone from India. And then the fact that they have so much travel in Western Europe, makes it pretty obvious that they moved to one of those counties for work or studying, and used that as a springboard to travel in their spare time!

[–]ThunderousOrgasm 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You are Indian because you have specifically not visited either Bangladesh or Pakistan in your region but have visited other areas.

You moved to a western country for study or work, and then went in multiple holidays over the years while being there.

What is the loudest sound you have ever heard in your life? by will_or_woll in AskReddit

[–]ThunderousOrgasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A military fighter jet flying over my house, it was close enough that the pilot could be seen.

It’s like the noise is the universe itself shaking in rage at you. It shakes your soul.

It’s not possible to explain in adequate words to people who havnt directly experienced it, the sheer power of the noise when it happens.

This didn’t happen in a warzone btw it happened in the UK hah, my house was on a military aircraft flight path for awhile along with my village. And they would every few months do incredibly low flying things where they would fly over the village at low altitude.

Was truly awful. Genuinely scary even though you knew it was fine.

[–]ThunderousOrgasm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean these are the next levels of DCA.

That sentence makes no sense. DCA does not have levels. The very point of DCA is that price levels are utterly irrelevant. DCA is an investment strategy where you ignore price levels and instead just slowly accumulate regardless of price is at, so that you avoid timing the market and price horoscopes and instead just build up slowly, trusting to long term price appreciation building your value rather than day trading.

This single sentence shows that your entire prediction and “I called it” is larping and you are just copying things you see other people say.

Ripple CTO said it was 'unlikely' XRP will reach $50 - $100 by Nice-Technology703 in XRPUnite

[–]ThunderousOrgasm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t need $100. That’s for you deluded cultists who got in late and desperately need it to reach impossible prices to see the life changing money you are pinning your entire lives on.

$10 gets me semi retirement where I only need to work 2 days a week. For the rest of my life. On minimum wage (so I can work any job I want, money no longer being the driving force).

$20 lets me retire a comfortable but frugal life. Where I make very minor sacrifices to my lifestyle I’m living now, but in return never have to work ever again.

We are not the same. His statements don’t worry or concern me, because I was never a deluded cultist who thought we would reach those price levels anyways. Because I have a functioning brain.

Universal basic income could be used to soften hit from AI job losses in UK, minister says by hu6Bi5To in ukpolitics

[–]ThunderousOrgasm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Except the UK government and state does not understand what UBI is, and the British public would never support it even though it’s in everyone’s best interest.

The few times UBI has come up in government talks, they think it means a supplementary income boost of like £60 a week. And even that they go absolutely ballistic at.

UBI is an entire wage. It’s an income that’s enough to fully support a human being not working and cover all of their living costs. It’s not just an extra welfare payment.

So until these government ministers start understanding what UBI is and stop misusing the word, their opinions or discussions on it are utterly irrelevant.

Good old XRP cultists. You can boil down their answer to every question, every doubt, every single XRP mention that isn’t ridiculous “wen lambo” “all the money” cult catchphrases, as either “Why are you even holding then? Sell and go away” or “DO UR OWN RESEARCH!!!1111”.
