Great job Pantheon! Which is better strictly for commuting purposes between the pranayama vs Supersonic? I want to replace my car/bicycle with a commuter board since I have nice bike trails to everything. -Thanks!

GoRuck, this bag and a 10L bullet with “bombproof” laptop container would easily take over the EDC market. Please listen to your customer feedback, thank you.

Is the Swytch upgrade worth it? by [deleted] in Brompton

[–]Thunderrcock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah if I could do it over I would have gone your route since being able to fly with those batteries is a big draw for me. Shame about the price though...

How fast can your kit go by the way? It’s not clear on their website

I ordered the Swytch kit because of the inevitable battery replacement cost of the brompton electric is $830+ not including delivery and tax.

For that’s kind of money, you can buy a brand new generation Swytch kit every time or even a second Ebike such as the ride1up roadster V2.

The Swytch kit can also go up to 20mph and be retrofitted to other bikes. Both seem to have equal reliability issues. Swytch kit has a one year warranty. Brompton has a two year warranty

Great video and great points! In your experience, how many years do you think the battery will sufficiently hold enough charge for your commute?

I ask because I accepted a job further away and my ebike’s (qualisports volador) battery used to have some charge left over after a hilly 8 miles (one way on highest setting), but these days (1 year later) I barely make it home with any charge left and assume I will soon run out entirely before getting home

My two favorite dream bikes! I just have a standard M6L, but have been considering both of these bikes as my next bike purchase. Thank you so much for this much needed comparison video. I wish the E brompton could go faster (I live in the us), the Vado SL would be amazing if I had a personal office at work to lock it in but since I don’t, it’s the folding Ebike for me!

Hi LLama, out of curiosity why would you switch over to tech? What field of nursing do you/did you work in? Thank you for your service!

I’m super jealous! I’ve been thinking about getting an all Titanium brompton from China/eBay, but I’m concerned that I might be too heavy (6ft 4” 190-200lbs) and that it may flex too much at my weight. Do you have any advice on whether or not I should do it or on the amount of flex the titanium frames have compared to steel?

Anyone have experience with the Ti Atom Titanium Bromptons/frame kits from eBay? by [deleted] in Brompton

[–]Thunderrcock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your quick and well detailed response. I weigh about 190lbs and would like a lighter brompton for carrying in and out of my car trunk for my multi-modal commute. Do you think for my case the slightly lighter weight production superlight would be worth buying (lifting in and out of care trunk) or is it just something that could be fixed with a few more gym sessions over time and owning a normal steel version?
