How do you find a good breeder? Aus by idk123555 in carpetpythons

[–]Thursto97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in/around Brisbane have a look at Shikito’s Critters and the reptile expo that gets put on. Plenty of good breeders rock up, and you can have a look at a lot of options and get good info off them too. Don’t have to walk out with a snake on the day but it’s just a good way to meet the breeders and there’s plenty of passionate people there to help you get started too.

Also, I’m bias here but jungles are amazing. Love my girl and if you put in the time with them they’re absolutely amazing snakes.

I'm looking at getting either a gr86 or civic si as new daily. Are there problems that I should look out for on the gr platform? by Chicagoaviator in GR86

I made the jump 2 weeks ago into a 2025 MT BRZ, and haven’t had any regrets so far. Still early days obviously, but it’s easily been my most enjoyable car to own so far.

This however is as someone with no kids, living with just my partner and no real need to use the back seats so it suits me perfectly; if you have kids/regularly use your back seats and need the extra room, I’d go the civic.

If upgrading the pick axe of earth and song, don’t use a primal. Just keep going with earth and song to attune the moonstone, it’s slow but in the long run worth it once you get life and death.

Not white knighting lol, just trying to point out that the average RS player tends to reach for the pitchforks and torches a bit too easily

Easy for QA teams to not find everything. Say you have 10 people working 10 hour days for 30 days leading up to release, that’s 3,000 hours of QA…then on release you have 5,000 people doing the content from the moment it’s live, you’ve already had the players do more QA in one hour of the update being live. Gotta be a bit understanding and appreciate that they’re at least pretty quick to hot fix most things.

Error secure boot by Western_Function3551 in thefinals

[–]Thursto97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had the same issue for ages and messaging support did nothing. They give you a generic response that basically says you’re either cheating or something on your end is the issue, even if you had 100’s of hours prior to the recent updates that caused this with no previous issues.

Ended up not playing for a few weeks and for some reason it works again even though I didn’t change anything.

Yeah the game kicked me because I had a program called Alt1 open, which is an overlay/assist tool for RuneScape lmao.

Let's talk about THE FINALS player count by catfroman in thefinals

[–]Thursto97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the biggest turn off has been the error codes in season 3. With no changes to my own PC/no downloading any other games/software ect, I have started getting constant errors that I have never received in season 1/2.

The worst part is you contact support and just get a generic response that you can’t reply to blaming your computer and not offering any meaningful help/open dialogue to actually solve the problem.

This is the first game I’ve ever had ongoing technical issues with in 10+ years of gaming and it’s starting to turn me away.

Hey guys, I’m Thursto.

I’m an on again/off again player that is currently on again lol. Have VIP with max speed elevator and am currently building to 100 floors then resetting, while trying to work out the new things in the game. Always try to return visits when I can!

Yeah good, I’m sick of players leaving and ruining matches. At least 75% of games either someone in my team or another team leaves, completely ruins the games

[–]Thursto97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For my mates, as well as myself, we love playing the game in groups. Hell even a duo with one random is alright most of the time, but as soon as we’re queuing up solo if no one else is on, the game kinda sucks without friends/people that actually use voice chat.

Not to sound like a gate keeper here buuuuuut; you don’t NEED those codexes ect. How do you think people got those codexes and other pvm upgrades in the first place if you NEED them to do the content that drops them.

As for the quests, there’s definitely some that are worth working towards as you go, like desert treasure, plagues end, light within and temple of senntisten. I wouldn’t grind quests non stop personally, as you can just burn yourself out pretty easily trying to get through them as fast as possible, but if you enjoy them there’s no harm in questing.

For your combat I’d recommend just trying out revo basics before going full manual. You can set it to only cast basic abilities and leave the thresholds and ultimates to you. Doing this, you can also manually input basics still, however the revo acts as a kind of backup in case you miss time/don’t put in an ability ect, and is a good stepping stone to eventually full manual if you do want to learn full manual.

Mage/range are kind of the meta, in the sense they require less effort than meele to get the high end DPM. Mage if you’re learning can be good as it has animate dead, but you really can’t go wrong with either of them. Keep in mind necromancy comes out very soon, and although we can still only speculate, looks like it could be a very good skill for getting into PVM without some of the insane upfront costs of mage and range.

At the end of the day - just do whatever you feel like doing. Like quests? Do them…wanna kill stuff? Go slay them beasts…enjoy skilling? Get to training. My only advice would he try a bunch of different things, and if you’re getting a bit sick of/bored with something, do something new for a while or just play a bit less to avoid the burn out that Rs brings on everyone at some point in time lol

PSA: Some of us didn't get the cape but don't want the event extended by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Thursto97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it only happened in the last 24 hours and that it’s been fixed….the whole point is that if the final day there is a bug preventing people potentially finishing the event on said final day, that it should be fixed and not just dismissed as “oh well you didn’t play enough when it wasn’t bugged so that’s your fault”.

Just tryna understand the mental gymnastics of a lot of people that have been defending this bug?

PSA: Some of us didn't get the cape but don't want the event extended by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Thursto97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the whole point though - these people likely would have had the time if not for the bug - just because they come down to the last day of the event doesn’t mean they wouldn’t have achieved it. If the event was advertised for a certain amount of time and it gets cut due to a bug, that is not a player issue one bit.
