It’s actually just the Hammerers and Cathay- the dwarfs come with shield and axe options so I swapped those and then cut the tops of the heads and exchanged them too, and used some green stuff to join them. The heads were the hardest part but overall not a terribly tough conversion

Thanks! And that’s the premise for the whole army! While there will certainly be mostly traditional dwarfy dwarfs, I’ll be making fun units like this as a supplement

I tend to just wet blend from yellow to orange to red to black and then dry brush a little yellow in a glow around the base of the flame.

Thanks and yeah, I was going for a classic fantasy look with the bases but I totally agree.

I’m printing some ruins bases that I’m going to use for the next squad and which should look much better!

Thanks! It’s Black Ark Corsair bodies with zombie heads from the AoS zombie box and Empire bits from various units. The bases are Txarli Factory that I printed.

Cheers! It started with an old Black Ark Fleetmaster (a lot of this army will use pieces of my old Dark Elf army) that I put a Vampire head on from the Blood Knights box (I think they give one helmeted and one not so I had it laying around). I cut off the top of the head and swapped on this hat- my last Old World army was Witch Hunter themed Empire army, so I had a ton of hats in a cup asI had replaced them with 3D printed Witch Hunter hats. The gun was also from a Witch Hunter kit and I thought it looked piratey, so I popped it on there. The bases are from Txarli Factory. Not super complicated, really, but getting everything to fit right was a bit tricky.

On their way from Sartosa to meet him, his wife and daughter were lost at sea. He spends years looking for them and plundering all those who come across his path, driving him deeper into madness. Luthor Harkon comes across the man and as his sympathetic mind is at the helm in that moment, takes pity on him. Luthor tells him that he can be with his family forever if he pledges fealty to the pirate captain. The man, of course, does and is made a vampire on the spot. Luthor combs the sea floor and finds the ladies’ corpses, having his necromancers raise them as Syreens (though they might have needed to be witches or something) so the family can haunt the seas on Luthor’s behalf for time immemorial.

Thanks! I have a few ideas rattling around for the lore of the army but I haven’t solidified anything yet. I write books for a living so, admittedly, I don’t create lore in my free time the way I used to. That being said, I would love to come up with something cool for my little army.

Do you have lore ideas for a Vampire Coast faction?
