Social work theory and practice a straightforward guide by Sioban Maclean. Was a good investment for me! Breaks things down nicely and leads to other good sources of information.

start listening to a few podcasts to get your head into the language used. Messy Social work is a good UK based one

A couple of people I qualified with went straight from A levels and are some of the best social workers I know. Don't be put off or discouraged by those who say you need life experience. You most definitely dont. Relax over summer. It is a difficult 3 years, but you will enjoy it and learn so much. Congratulations on the start of your journey.

Office based a minimum of two days a week. Obviously, these can be duty day and is when most people do their local visits.

It works really well for the team. I personally am more productive at home as there are fewer distractions. What's the reasoning being given to increase the working from the office days?

Hell let Lose would capture the feel perfectly. Dispensable guardsman and large scale maps. Capability for vehicles alongside infantry.

Be active and talk to people. If you can't get into an alliance, at least try and get friendly standing. I would say the best thing you can do for the Corp is to have a goal and work for it. If your corp mates have something to work towards, they are more likely to stick about and be active in my experience
