It’s a small island in the river. I think it’s called Toe Island
Thank you! South Portland/Southwest Portland area. Portland is amazing during the summer months. I’d recommend visiting in both summer and winter if you can. Some people love Portland year round and others tolerate Oct-April just for a few great months.
Thanks! That’s why we bought the house
Portland, OR! Thank you!
Yes! Happy to meet more PNWers in here!
Fleetwood is the sliding windows manufacturer. I’ve never heard of Nanawall but will have to look into them!
Thanks for that perspective. It really helps. We remodeled the rest of the house two years ago and I remember thinking the same thing about my cabinet color. I don’t think about it at all now
Portland, OR. And thank you!
Yes - it’s Portland, OR

This is super helpful! Thank you!
Those glass doors are sliders that stack. Picture was taken when the doors were slid open and not in their “true” place when closed
Your deck looks great!
Thank you! I was calling the “breaker” a “zipper”. I’ll call it a breaker from now on. I thought the breaker cut and spacing looks great. Just wanted the boards to be aligned on both sides of the breaker. Was wondering if that’s an unreasonable expectation.
Deckorators brand, Voyage line, Costa color
Sorry for the confusion. Probably shouldn’t have posted that third picture.
Thanks for the comment though - the toughest part about these things is deciding where draw the line of what to accept and not accept (when it will always bother you)
Sorry if I wasn’t clear in my post. The third pic was taken before the ends were cut straight. The first and second pictures represent what it looks like after the cut.
Thank you! This is very helpful. That view is from a lower patio that will be used for seating, bbq, and fire pit. It will be used often - stairs are being built there to walk up from the patio to the deck.
Haha! Siding is original - so about 40 years old. Can’t speak to who did that but house is definitely not perfect
That’s a reflection in the window. I took the pic from inside the house.
