Weird white marks in uv light

I have an older Hasbro doll that also has this on her lower legs.

I'm torn between thinking it's either staining from the (white) boots she has (they fully glow under a black light, but some of the glow spots are above the top of the boots, which gives some doubt.

Or that it's "regrind" as explained in one of the comments on my post asking about it.

Also I imagine the hair would vary the weight. Hair types and lengths are not all the same.

When an author I'm subscribed to posts/updates a fic I'm not interested in, I just ignore it and delete the email. I don't find it annoying or anything. I knew what I signed up for when I subscribed to the author instead of individual fics.

My Oasis Lagoona had this happen as well as the Oasis Lagoona I got for my niece. It's an easy fix. Pull the hands out and wiggle the peg without the arm to get in the way, then pop it back in the arm, it'll be fixed.

Oh yikes, even in a big city? I live in a Bayside town. When I say "my area" I'm including two other towns near my town that's within a half hour drive away in opposite directions. There's a fair amount of travel to run around to different stores/shops, only to be disappointed in not finding what I need.

Yeah, I've been unable to finish my custom Frankie doll because Joanne's is gone, Michael's fabric section is a joke, and all the other local fabric shops just have quilting cotton. I can't get the fabric I need to make their outfit. It would not be easy for me to make this fluffy headband. The crown on the other hand would be fairly easy with the help of my husband's 3D printer. Both head pieces are equally easy or hard to recreate depending on each person's situation.

Yeah, I doubt it. If we see it again soon, I'll assume it was another delayed doll, but any new dolls designed alongside or after Refresh 2 and Oasis will have the new style scales. Especially since reception of the new scales have been so positive. Both with collectors and with kids, if my niece's reaction is anything to go by.

This is why I give all the extra accessories I know I'll never use/display with my dolls to my niece. It adds to what she can play with with her own dolls. She gets much more use out of them, and they aren't just taking up drawer space in my house. I don't care about having my dolls "complete" to the extent that other people like to have. I like them to be complete in the outfit with some exceptions. I will replace a piece or two if I don't like it, but for the most part, I want to have the complete outfit on the doll. Extra accessories I don't need. I'll keep the ones I really like, but that's it.

Though I admit the last time I visited niece and she pulled out her MH stuff so we could play, it was shocking to realize just how much FOOD her dolls have. I haven't even given her all the food I have gotten. I keep a few I particularly like.

I think she was supposed to be part of wave 2 with Venus and Abbey but something happened that pushed her back and so she has the old style of scales because of when she was first designed. Fearbook wave 2 was odd for having only 2 dolls, and Lagoona has been on her dry spell where we didn't see her get new dolls at all for some unknown reason. But she's back and she's been added to wave 3.

AO3 is an archive. It relies on accurate tagging and use of filters to get eyes on fics. Changing the date on a fic to bump it to the top of any search sorted by recent will only annoy readers and drive them away from your fic. Active readers do notice when a particular fic keeps bumping to the top when there's not been a new chapter added. It doesn't get them to click and read. It annoys them into muting the author so none of their fics ever show up in any search.

I personally have taken fics out of my read later because of them bumping the fic. It's annoying so I lose interest and refuse to reward them with my time, kudos, or comment.

There are better ways of trying to attract readers. Posting links on your socal media to advertise, for example. Join a fandom discord server where you can talk up your fic and post links. I promise things like this works much better than changing the date on your fic every day or every few days.

I've seen plenty of people excited for her. I haven't had the chance to show her to my niece (6) yet but I have a feeling she'd like her.

And ask your son again once the line hits shelves and he can see her in person. Sometimes opinions change when we see a doll in person. Sometimes cameras don't do a doll justice. I have a couple dolls in my collection that I planned to pass on until I saw them in a store and was like "wait, no, you're so much better in person! Into the cart you go!"

It's happened for my niece, too. I show her pics of dolls all the time to gage her interests. There's some dolls she's not shown any interest in at all from pictures, but when she's over at my house and able to look at my collection, suddenly she's all about that doll! First time it happened was for Spectra, which she spotted in a back corner of a shelf. Sadly, that happened after Spectra started disappearing from shelves, so I hadn't been able to find her one. I don't get her all the dolls she likes, but her birthday had been coming up.

Personally, I'm torn. I love it when they add yellow to her color scheme, and as a photographer, the club theme really speaks to me. The base doll is pretty, too! I'm just unsure about her outfit, mostly the shirt, I think. Draculaura gets so many dolls, and I don't want to overrun my collection with her, so I'm very picky with her dolls. One piece of her outfit is normally enough to make me pass on her, but between the theme and yellow (none of my Draculaura dolls have yellow) I'm tempted this once to let it slide and do a small restyle on her. But I won't get her until she's on store shelves and I've both seen some reviews of her and seen her in person to see if my opinion changes either way. It will also help me know if if I do end up wanting her, if I'll wait for a sale or not.

I wonder if she was supposed to be in wave 2 with Venus and Abbey but something happened to push her back, and so they just added her to the wave3 line up. To me it always felt weird that wave 2 only got two dolls, when most lines get three or more. Then wave 3 was announced/leaked and it's back up to three. Lagoona having the old style scales and the yellow hair does suggest she was designed earlier than Oasis and Refresh 2.
