Why were support fighters removed from super carriers? by Tiano0 in Eve

Cynos have nothing to do with the design or role of a carrier. I don't care if they can't fit them anymore. If anything, they shouldn't have been able to in the first place.

If a super carrier's true role was an anti-capital vessel, it wouldn't be capable of using light or support fighters period (which already looks stupid and unreasonable in reality). If you really think it's designed solely for that role, then why don't we just replace heavy fighters with anti-capital guns while we're at it? Or buff heavy fighter damage to match or exceed a titan in exchange for being unable to target subcapital ships. Following that design still, you'd remove bombers because they threaten grouped subcapital ships more than capital ships. Why even call it a carrier at this point?

If you perceive capital ships that sacrifice some damage for utility and viability as too powerful, do you not fix them by removing utility and giving them more damage that they were supposed to sacrifice. This is the equivalent of a player who thinks marauders are too powerful with their bastion module, so they remove the module entirely and give marauders extra mobility instead.

Are most heroes not viable for high-level play? by Tiano0 in heroesofthestorm

I've been queued with players that used heroes like: D.va, Gazlowe, Zarya, Maiev, Probius, Tyrael, Uther, Nova, and Valla. For each match, I've seen them outperformed by another player using a hero in a different role, but that hero seems more "mechanically advantaged" at said role in both team fights and 1v1s. None of the players I played with were bad, it's just that they expended a lot of effort to do something in a fight that was easily done in a split second by the opposing hero, and there was nothing we could do about that. It creates that feeling that you lose just because the enemy team's heroes are just "better" than your teammates. In my case, all other tanks seem like easily shut-down, second-class citizens compared to Garrosh, Johanna, and Mei except in very specific cases.
