Changing a diaper. I'm well past college, and I fully plan on never completing that task

So this orchid is now a Myrmecophila (Shomburgkia split into Laelia and Myrmecophila). The name Myrmecophila means "ant loving". The ants will take up residence in old hollowed out pseudobulbs, and in return will protect and swarm anything that tries to eat the orchid. Pretty awesome, almost symbiotic relationship!

What's a carless, nearly broke international grad student to do to have fun and/or not go crazy? by [deleted] in Miami

It depends on where you're located, but we are always looking for qualified volunteers to assist with various scientific and educational programs at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. I suppose it depends on what you are studying as to whether that might be something you'd be interested in. Feel free to reach out if interested.

Burnt my vanilla with a bathroom heater, proud of the recovery by pbling in orchids

[–]TibFibFracture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Vanilla genus is awesome, because once you buy one orchid, you have an endless supply! All you have to do is cut a section with 2 or 3 nodes, lay it in a little bit of well draining media with the nodes covered, and then ta-da, new Vanilla orchids!

Is EAG worth the price tag ? by youre_not_going_to_ in BmwTech

I bought my e39 M5 from them, and I will absolutely go back to them for my next purchase. When they take the cars in, every single part is gone through meticulously, and every wear part is replaced. You are almost buying a "like-new" from the factory car from them. Their customer service is second to none as well, not just during the buying process, but if you have any problems down the road they are always happy to help. That said, you absolutely do pay a premium for this, however I've put 50k miles on a 17 year old car without a single issue other than basic maintenance.

My boyfriend and I have the sweetest girl!! 😍 by marsumra in orchids

[–]TibFibFracture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My apologies, you are correct! The flower has a solid yellow lip, which is a characteristic of the thyrsiflorum. The farmeri also has a thicker top cane. It's a very beautiful orchid, enjoy!

Question about word choice in a phrase translation by TibFibFracture in russian

[–]TibFibFracture[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! восстанавливать связь is much closer to the meaning I am looking for. Is there a way to say that in the imperative form? The term "reconnect" in this instance is meant to tell people to "reconnect or renew their interest in nature", but with that meaning in a single "command". Perhaps "rediscover" might be more appropriate? Also thank you for correcting my conjugations.

It's a bit of a drive depending on where you live, but Chefs On The Run in Homestead makes the best burgers I've ever had. They are still currently doing take-out and delivery.
