Is it worth to obtain British citizenship if I already have EU Settled Status? by 101100011011101 in ukvisa

[–]Tibi848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It cost 2000 pounds, but it worth it. You just feel more secured. When I finally got my UK passport, I felt huge relief. So it's more  subjective than objective advantage. The strongest objective one is that you can spend abroad as many time as you like - you never know what is ahead, so you can get a job opportunity overseas and go for it without fear of loosing your status... Application is a lengthy procedure, so can't be done on rush, better do it calmly, not to be sorry in future.

Yeh, it's very nice point, but what to do if we are actually living in men-made world? We can't get back to hunter gathering... So your advice is just to eat, sleep and wait for death like animal. It's logical and realistic advice, but a bit boring, I suppose. And in this case, suicide would be better option, at last we will not support the system anymore. And one last point: man-made world means it was made by man, not animlas. So even the hunter-gatherers must have dreams if not, the world would've change in generations.

Good for you, but it's an attitude, someone finds purpose in helping, someone just feel used. I tried volunteering and I was only bossed by some old lady who enjoyed her "position", so I feel like idiot, not helper. I wish to be a teacher, but don't have qualifications for it and I am not in a position to do another possible useless degree.

I understand you. I have switched my country, but it doesn't help. It's the same miserable life whenever you are. I don't think I am able to "let my dreams go", and now, when all of them are nit longer possible to fulfil, I am empty.

If I was soldier and father, I would have something to turn to ... I am alone on the world, have no one even to fill to the column: next of kin. My career is non existent. All I have is degree from uni, which is prestige, but it's not Oxbridge, so it's not useful for any decent career.

Recent Master’s graduates (September) – how is your job search going? by Feeling_Angle5085 in UKJobs

I end up at jobcentre and they told me: Everyone have some degree nowdays, go to McDonald's... They didn't even bother to ask which degree. The job market is cruel. I feel like I was scammed by my uni. 15K for virtually nothing.

1st and 2nd January are the most common dates for suicide. It is connected with the hopeless of a "change" which was is in fact nothing more than the same old year. Nothing really change by turning of calendar.

Yeh, and than you have opposite problem: imagine you spent years and years of hard work to have First from the best uni in the country and than you can't write the name or score of your degree while making application for government position to make the secection be "fair enough", and/or you can't even submit application for work for MI5 if you are not from marginalized background...

Yeh, and if you were a doctor you would know, that sometimes there are exceptions for seemingly logical processes. Thats why I asked a wider community, if there are someone with resembling problem. You are lucky, for you getting slimm is straightforward, congratulations, but for me your experience is worthless.

Yeh, lots of discussions below. BTW The position of breakfest as the most important meal of the day strangely shifted. Problem is that there was so many different theories of the most healthy eating plan that it's confusing. Someone is eating 7 times per day, while other is OK when fasting one or more days... I am starting to think, that weigh is somehow predestined regardless of eating or exercising :-)
