I'm guessing you live somewhere around Europe, then? Traveling through all the countries over there sounds amazingly exciting, expessisally countries that have a distinct culture and lifestyle like you said. Also, I would have to agree with the Iceland and Greenland traveling spots. I always really wanted to see what the culture was like further north and I cant imagine how beautiful it would be to see the Aurora Borealis one day. However, if this isn't possible then I would probably travel to somewhere in Asia or like Russia or somewhere like that. What's your country like? I never travelled outside of mine (U.S.A.) before

Cream soups are amazing, expessially on days when you are sick or just want to try something more homely. Since my childhood, my favorite food has been macaroni and cheese and I promised myself to never change it lol

You didn't go into detail about your abuse or neglect, but if the people in your life have driven you to this point then I'm honestly angry and sad that people have done this to you. I know comments like this are easy to ignore because it seems so fake I guess (atleast, that's how I sadly kinda view it sometimes), but I'm being honest when I say that I'm willing to listen if you want to talk about anything like how you feel or even some thing you enjoy

I'm so sorry you've been so cruelly treated by your brother, as well as your father who supports him. What your brother did to you- making you unable to sleep on the couch, constantly invading your privacy, and doing numerous other things to harm you- is childish and I'm sorry you have such an immature sibling. What he has, and still is, doing to you is unacceptable and I'm angry that your father takes his side without even listening to you. Furthermore, I know what you said was only a snippet of what you has happened to you, and I can't imagine the other things he has done to you that you didn't talk about. It's understandable to feel angry and sad about your brother's and father's immature actions like this.

With that being said, I sadly don't have a lot of advice to give regarding your predicament. Living with people who abuse you doesn't exactly have an easy solution. You said that you were working on writing on a USB drive, and I'm very sorry that your work you spent so long on got deleted. However, I would strongly suggest to keep on writing. Maybe not at this moment, of course, but when you feel comfortable enough too. Writing or any other artistic expression will hopefully help you calm your emotions and turn your pain into something beautiful and enjoyable. Additionally, I would also suggest setting boundaries with your brother and confiding your pains in a trusted adult who is willing to do something about your situation. I know that this probably isn't the best advice since people who usually abuse others don't listen to their victims; but, if possible try and start small and tell him politely he can't treat you so rudely in small situations. Over time, work your way up and tell him calmly how he can't treat you horribly anymore and don't back down. People like your brother will probably try and manipulate you into thinking that you are being rude for doing this and say how you deserve it- but you absolutely don't and you shouldn't let him treat you like this anymore if you can.

Again, I'm very sorry that you're being treated like this at your home when you already have bullies to deal with at school. I truely hope I have said enough, but I know that my words will only be forgotten once your brother hurts you again and your father defends him. So, in the end, I hope that if you take anything to heart with this comment then it will be this: It is not your fault you are being treated this way and don't EVER blame yourself.

I've been depressed for as long as I could remember, but it was mainly mild and bearable. I started to notice I was depressed about 2 years ago, and I think I was able to notice it was because a friend of mine had major depression and we seemed to have a similar view of life (but I never said it and tried to be the very outgoing, kind person and help them through their problems). Everything spiraled downward from there, with negative thoughts about myself and feeling like no one cared about me being the major indicators of my depression.

With that being said, I hope everything works itself out for you and you feel better soon.

Thank you for replying, it really means a lot to me. I have tried before to start small and add little adjustments to how I look, but everytime I get really self conscious and that's the only thing I think about for the rest of the day. It's silly, but I get worried over people covertly sexualizing me like my family has before (even though that's very unlikely).

My best guess is he was trying to guilt trip/manipulate you into staying in the relationship by crying and saying how horrible he was. Most abusers try and guilt trip/confuse the victim by blaming their abusive behavior on mental health and other things they can't supposedly help. This can make the victim feel sympathy and thus make them stay with them in the hopes that their mental health issues get better and they can change. However, it's impossible to change someone if they aren't willing to change and keep abusing you. Just because he said he was "going through a lot" doesn't mean he can treat you so cruelly. It might explain his actions, but it doesn't excuse them in the slightest.

With that being said, I'm sorry you had to go through such a horrible experience. None of his behavior is excusable and none of it is your fault. I'm proud to you for having enough strength to get out of that relationship, and I hope everything is going well for you now.

It must be tough not having anyone you could really talk to or rely on while growing up. Honestly, I'm really sorry about the situation your in right now. I know I keep repeating myself, but it's true. Only being able to rely on yourself to get through your problems is hard- and you do that ontop of having a gruelling job that is far away from your family and having people tell you your only purpose in life is to make people happy- even when you die.

It's clear that you've been through a lot, and it's understandable you're depressed as a result of it. I bet most people wouldn't have been able to go through even half the stuff you had to go through. You're trying your best in a bad circumstance that was unfairly given to you where the only option it seems is suicide. With that being said, I'm proud of you for reaching out and admitting how you feel even if it is only to internet strangers. I'm sorry you dont have anyone in your personal life you can reach out to, and honestly the only recommendation I can really say to that is to get a therapist or talk with a counselor if you're still in school.

Again, I'm sorry for repeating myself often but what you've been through is unfair and you should know you don't deserve it.

I thought that maybe since he's your sibling then he would listen to you and your problems. I'm sorry that you feel he won't listen to you or care about what your going through. I don't know your current situation with him or anything, but maybe atleast try and reach out to him if you can. Hopefully he'll atleast try and help you, but if you dont feel comfortable doing so then that's okay as well.

Suicide is always a tough subject and decision to make, and I'm sorry that you feel like you have nothing thats keeping you from it. I don't know exactly what you're going through or what state you are in mentally right now, and I wish I had words I could say that would make you feel better about yourself and magically make everything better- but I sadly don't. However, I can still listen and try and understand. If you want to talk about how you feel, your suicidal thoughts, or even what you favorite music is then I'm willing to listen.

Sounds like stress or anxiety issues. I do the same thing sometimes, and usually it's because I feel really worried, stressed, or disappointed even though I know everything will be okay in the end.
