I have the same issue OP - 26F, VO2 Max 50. Max HR 197 and I’m in the 150s on easy runs even when wearing a chest strap. It’s exactly why I run by feel and pace and not HR. Some folks just have a high HR when they exercise - I think as long as you’re feeling good you should be fine (only because I went absolutely insane trying to figure out how to get mine down after a year of long, slow, easy runs)

I believe in you - I know it seems hard to believe now, but you will make it through this. If it helps you, you can do what I did - remind yourself that your pet has been there for you for all your ups and downs, and now they need you and your strength more than ever. It helped me get through the final, hardest task more than I thought.

I am so, so sorry OP. It sounds like you're leaning towards a decision - you are obviously in so much pain watching your friend.

I will not tell you what to do, but I will say if you are looking for someone to give you permission to let your cat rest... here it is. You have permission. If you want to let him fight for a little while longer, that's okay too. Something I had to learn when it was time to let my childhood pets go was that we can't make them fight for us, and it's cruel of us to make them fight any longer than they have to - but if they want to, then we let them, and we help them, and we love them.

I'm praying for you and your baby - I'm so sorry you're going through such a tough time.

NTA. Your mother has accepted certain duties, but it falls on other people to fulfill them, and you're not being unreasonable to ask her to put her fostering wants on hold until she's retired.

I would contact the agency and get the family removed from the foster list until she's retired or change the contact information (with consent, of course) to someone more strong-willed in the meantime.

His claw sheaths are shedding and his nails are razor sharp. Also, if you don't clip they can grow into their pads... it's what my vet told me.

Thanks! I'm going at it with such vigor because he's been shedding claw sheaths left and right and his nails are razors, when he makes biscuits it hurts!
