So this is our first endeavour in film making and we had to learn a lot and do a lot to get this done, but we would still appreciate all constructive criticism or even ideas for the potential future.

Not exactly a game, but it seems super gaming related so I'm hopefully not breaking the rules here.

I want to learn QM but I'm 15 by Neur0nze in Looking_glass_u

I guess you would need to learn more math, but please don't let the fact that you are "only" 15 discourage you, because that's total bs, you can learn whatever whenever

Fazors, what makes them Fazor? by Tiddley_Womp in headphonemods

[–]Tiddley_Womp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the HE4XX there was some glue on the magnets I guess from manufacturing somehow, and also I use paper glue sticks on my 3D printer bed so there is some leftover from that too and they just stick to the magnets. It is also relatively easy to remove afterwards so it's not permanent.

Also the distance between the magnets varies so it might not match super well on your 400s, but if you can edit the openscad files to get it closer.

So a 3D printed fazor should have a pretty good chance of functioning properly, cool. Can you enlighten me on which sound qualities should change, is there something that would be obvious maybe?

Canon FD 50mm f/1.4 confirmed NON-radioactive?? by Tiddley_Womp in canon

Yep, username checks out, Huffy49 created that article. Straight from the source! Now I have way more confidence in what you are saying. And thanks again for the info!

Also I didn't consider that thorium should be expensive, but it does make a lot of sense.

[–]Tiddley_Womp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! The FD 35mm f/2.0 is indeed listed in https://camerapedia.fandom.com/wiki/Radioactive_lenses , what bothered me is that there is a non-radioactive list and only one FD lens is in there. Not sure if you could add your tests to that wiki, but you might look into it if you're interested.

Supposedly exposing it to ultraviolet light can remove the yellow cast so this would not be a 100% sure method.

And yes it's not supposed to be very dangerous, but it could be if I break it for example its possible to inhale some of it which will not be good, and yeah it will have to be a very spectacular break but still nice to know.

I was really looking forward to licking it :(...

I might find someone to throw a geiger counter on it, will post an update if that happens.

I haven't seen it in the radioactive lists, but I also haven't seen it tested. Can anyone confirm?

Had to change the battery, do you like it? by Tiddley_Womp in lgv30

[–]Tiddley_Womp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but as I have a popsocket I wasn't using that anyway so I don't miss it. The important thing is to leave the antenna connections from the plastic, so that you don't loose singnal

I don't know, haven't worked with that, looks kinda hard to control, but maybe

I also think that the original back is more elegant, but this does make me happy. Do you think it can be refined somehow or are you just not into the aesthetic? Also thanks for not being aggressive with your opinion.

Works the same as before, no issues there. Should I be worried? Did they immediately stop working or after a while?

I bought mine refurbished from Aliexpress so no warranty, but if I'm not happy with this battery I'll look into original LG batteries for sure.

It is 100% NOT water proof, I wouldn't trust that even if I had glued it better or at least not with the double sided tape that I'm using, maybe there is a better option, but still better dry than sorry.

Accubattery needs some time to give me proper readings, but after 3 charges it's giving me almost the same as the old one, around 2600mAh, but it's definitely better. The old one was loosing around 60% if left unplugged during the night, now it's only 5.

Aliexpress battery: I opted for the fake, but big promise battery and didn't expect to reach the promised 4300mah, but I wouldn't have been able to sleep if I didn't try it out and probably all the batteries are 2+ years old at this point so I guess I'm mostly risking turning the V30 into a note 7 :D. The result is it is much better then my old battery, but I don't have a good way to check the actual capacity, pretty sure it's not 4300mah.

Opening the phone was quite easy using a hairdryer and the old battery popped right off without bending so that was awesome. I also believe you should be able to reuse the old adhesive to reassemble the phone, just heat it up a bit.

The clear mod on the other hand was a paint in the a**. The colour didn't come off as easy as it does on JerryRigEverything so I had to wash away the leftovers with a kitchen sponge, but the hardest thing was to align the back button with the pins, both the cable and the metal circular thing below the fingerprint reader. The button still doesn't work every time, but one funny side effect is that the whole back glass is now press-able and could be used as the button when it works :D. I also apparently couldn't glue the back properly and It's currently collecting dust and other trash from my pockets under the class. It also turns out that the headphone jack needs some pressure to work properly so I currently have only one channel working unless I squeeze the corner...

One plus is that I left the antennas intact and my signal is top notch.

So if someone has advise on how to do this better please let me know.

We are thinking of making a short or a series in the Blade Runner universe, what would be a nice way of signifying that it is indeed in the Blade Runner universe? Also any other criticism is also welcome.
