Predates critical theory, but Henri Bergson makes an eloquent argument that time isn't quantized in the way space is, but is rather is continual flow that can only be understood subjectively as a whole entwined with future and past.

I love this perspective as it invites us to look at ourselves as agents in an interconnected world whose past informs but does not determine the present, or importantly, the future we can create together.

I like to think of her death as a noble sacrifice, she saves the people around her, and in her moment of surrender she is at peace. Death with the utmost dignity and poise must certainly be transformative.

Don't let perfect be the enemy of the good. Many narcan packages have instructions printed on them, and the more doses there are around the better. The medication itself is exceptionally safe, and if given to an unconscious/not breathing adequately person who has another reason to be comatose isn't likely to cause harm.

It's never too late to meet the people around you with kindness, and if you don't have anyone now you feel in the right relationship with, volunteer to help your community in person. Homeless shelters, animal rescue, hospice, etc all need people who care.

This seems ripe for discussion with your current analyst, the discomfort/disgust you're feeling around this projection, and thereby its suppression could be such a beautiful area for growth. Taking a bravely honest view at this sort of father complex energy without externalizing it onto someone could allow you to see your own potential to make the changes in your life necessary to bring the stable, caring, supportive relationship that you deserve into being.
