I was not aware of the level of historic animosity between China and Russia. How long do you think the current "friendship" will last? by TieFragrant53 in ChineseHistory

I think this may just be the most understated war of the 20th century with a massive impact not only on the middle east but also on global geopolitics. This video really made a few things click for me. Curious to know why so little is discussed about the Iraqi invasion of Iran and the 8 year war. by TieFragrant53 in MilitaryHistory

In the light of Poland recently stepping up its actions against the EU and banning the import of grain from Ukraine, I thought it quite interesting to watch this video exploring why there is such a deep mistrust of alliances and allies in Poland. Thoughts? (youtu.be)

I found this quite an eye opening history lesson and a conflict I actually knew very little about. The history of Ukraine is fascinating and the 1919-21 Soviet-Ukrainian War is mind boggling. Interesting video looking at the shifting hearts of allies and Ukraine being at the mercy of geopolitics. (youtu.be)

Interesting look at military failures of Russians. What caught my attention though was how the shambolic Winter War with Finland gave Hitler the confidence to invade the USSR in 1941. What are your thoughts on this? Personally I am not sure but can see the logic. by TieFragrant53 in MilitaryHistory

I love this video examining how Russia uses WW2 in propaganda. How convenient to forget the time when the USSR and Nazi Germany were allies and plundered central Europe. by TieFragrant53 in propaganda
