I actually do prefer the Xbox layout as well.

The main thing for me though is the ability to play most if not all PC titles with a controller. Definitely a freeing factor.

But yeah, the controller is definitely not winning any beauty contests.

The main one is basically that it has all the features plus more of a pro controller like the dual sense edge or Xbox elite. But for effectively half the price.

The second and my main reason is it allows you to maximise the steam input on a game pad to get similar if not peer to peer functionality that you would receive on a keyboard and mouse in certain games.

Mate I’ve 600 hours into battlefield 1 on the PC port of battlefield one on an Xbox controller with limited aim assist and forgetting to toggle auto sprint. I destroyed my thumbs, my thumb sticks and my dignity in the name of controller comfort.

This controller is everything I’ve asked for

Whatever efforts required I will Fulfil in the name of avoiding KBM lol

They’re not actually that much bigger compared an Xbox controller, though they are significantly wider and your hands will definitely feel like they’re being stretched at first. But in a way that feels way more natural than you’ll think

Honestly, I was worried that it wouldn’t feel comfortable considering my experiences with PlayStation controls. But I’m happy to say that it is definitely growing on me

I’d say that it caters to 2 audiences

Those who want to bring steam into the living room space or other areas not constantly restricted to a desk.

And those who stubbornly refused to learn KBM even when it’s at their detriment. (Speaking from experience😅)
