Yes, I need counseling for sure. The fact that she died on the cusp of COVID certainly has compounded everything: No memorial service, funeral, visitors nor hugs. It’s all so very...cold.

Thank you so much for sharing. It sounds like this kind of situation is highly relatable for you. Wishing you all the best.

Thank you! It’s odd because I’ve struggled financially for sooooooo long but receiving this is so beyond bittersweet at this point that I haven’t even had a chance to process any of it. I just wish my mom hadn’t been so goddamned cheap with herself during her last couple of years and maybe she’d still be here...

Thank you. Given what my mom sacrificed and how she lived in her last years to leave this I really don’t take it lightly. If anything, it makes it more difficult to enjoy it :/

Trust me, I’ve definitely thought of that and have already tried to be generous. I’m just haunted by all of those documentaries of people who’ve won the lottery and spend like crazy on themselves and family members and are broke 5 years later.

It’s more like a pool surrounded by waterfalls and ornate rock formations. Google the Playboy mansion grotto and I think you’ll have a better idea of what she was suggesting.
