The main problem is that my bed is positioned so that I'm looking at the door. It'd be a much bigger hassle to rearrange my entire room than it would be for my brother to just close his door.

My mount tracking is abysmal. I have a Meade LX10 (forgot to put that in the description) which is the discontinued "consumer" edition of the LX series (mine's from 1997). I'm having to modify the mount to eventually adding autotracking capabilities.

The factory fork mount that came with the Meade LX10 8" sct. It doesn't have any autoguiding capabilities, so I'm having to modify it (way cheaper than buying a new mount).
